Following from the release of their acclaimed debut collaborative album, “Nervous Energy 一 触即发”, Chinese/Australian avant-garde composer Mindy Meng Wang 王萌, and her Melbourne-based contemporary Tim Shiel share new music video for their original single as well as a new mix, “Body of Water (What Is Love) 一线之间 (Tim's Alt Mix)”.
 
Inspired by a jungle breakbeat and 60s and 70s film soundtracks, “Body of Water (What Is Love) 一线之间” simmers with rhythmic energy, immersing the listener in motion. This rhythmic drive creates a foundation for Mindy’s guzheng, with the dark tones of slowly unfolding melodies sitting alongside guitar strums and skittering percussion.  When the vocal sample reveals itself - "What is love?" - the song transitions into a more sentimental mode, while still maintaining its driving energy.

Tim Shiel on the Alt Mix: "I've become really interested in revisiting and reshaping previous music and seeing if it can turn into new shapes. The idea that you only get one chance to create the "finished" version of a song can feel really restrictive sometimes.  Also, I think I may have enjoyed the new season of Loki a bit too much and now just want to make variants of everything.  So this is a variant mix, and another chance for me to play around with Mindy's expertly expressive performance, which has become one of my favourite things to do."

"Toast" is the debut LP by Buttering Trio, consisting of beats by KerenDun, Rejoicer and Beno, and is the result of the cooperation of the three during the past year, collaborating with the best musicians around. 

The beats came to life in three different studios - Wrangelstr. 666 Studio Berlin, Spaceship Studio Kibbutz Dunietz and Kicha Studios Tel Aviv, 
making the album a kind of a schizophrenic new-school romantic child.
