Kelpe's hard to place. A natural son and heir to Generation Warp and the fathers of Krautrock, he's much like scene-savants Prefuse 73 and Dimlite: enormously respected, yet a stalwart of the fringes. His reputation weaves over a decade, won variously across the more amorphous side of the soundworld (oddball ambient, hardware experiments and sample-heavy beat-craft) but recently, it seems he's firming things up some.

Kelpe returns to puff up his still-young Drut imprint with a second full-length: 'The Curved Line'. It's a record transfixed on tonality and texture – Moogs, Korgs and pocket pianos are all in heavy supply here. The mood is forward, approaching more urgent, dancefloor-ready club grub. Our pick of the bunch is 'Valerian', a track that's all sun-swollen chords, droning synths and quietly frantic percussion. It's bigger and bolder, but all said and done – it's definitive Kelpe.

Julian Stetter might be best known as ‘one half of the electronic pop duo VIMES’, but he is no stranger to the Cologne club scene. His debut EP ‘Insides’ stems from a long history of djing and organising underground parties across the city. A resident DJ and collaborator at Cologne’s famed JackWho club, it was these surroundings that drove Stetter to dive deep into producing. His first solo project is now set to be released on the label PNN. It features three tracks plus a remix by Beyou. Stetter’s sound is polished and the precise production of each three tracks make this EP feel far from debut. ‘Emily’ is the first track set to be released this Friday. It draws you in on shimmering waves that rise and break into a deeper and spacier sound. Warm beats are interjected with random snippets of whale song. Listening to Emily feels like receiving a welcome hug at an after party.

Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher’s third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill, feeling and depth of style that the artist has honed over a period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus-years, emotionally. And full-length it is: The Golden Ravedays is an epic album of 24 tracks that was released in January 2017 and is stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during a one-year period on record label, Hippie Dance. 

We are thrilled to bring you the third chapter of THE GOLDEN RAVEDAYS saga, released in March 2017. Number 3 of the series introduces two further tracks of the haunting sound adventure that SUPERPITCHER is taking his fans on during 2017. Side A features 1984. It has nothing to do with George Orwell’s magnificent book but it could remind some of how the apocalypse might sound one day. 1984 is as sweet as the very first track, Little Raver, of "The Golden Ravedays" album, but it stresses the fact that even though Superpitcher produces music mainly intended for the dance floor, he creates sound that is bordering on the shamanic. 1984 might as well be the meeting of a group of supersonic bottlenose whales that are overly excited to see each other after being separated by many an ocean and moon. 

Side B of this edition brings us POCKET LOVE. Or shall we rather say, Side B gifts us "Pocket Love"? Because we believe this is nothing other than a gift to us all. Imagine looking into a kaleidoscope and turning the dial and experiencing all those colors as pockets of love rushing your way and exploding in satin wonderment the moment they past your eyes and ears. Imagine how it must sound like if all the e mails, tweets, facebook posts, instagrams, pinterests, grandma’s postcards, text messages, letters on rice paper, hearts scratched into trees, declarations of eternal loyalty written in sand, phone calls and videos of the whole universe were all messages of love stuffed into pockets and sent to you. Imagine the treasure you will receive! Imagine being one big ear drum and listening to the very energy that this love exists of – imagine it and you will find yourself inside "Pocket Love".

Anton Kubikov (guitar), Sergey Sapunov (bass), Korablove (keys, sampling)  and Ilya Shapovalov(drums)joined to form the instrumental band Raw Code , to the surprise of fans and critics. Away from the familiar ways of the straight base drum they explore one for techno protagonists supposedly foreign edge of the musical cosmos - full of exotic effect pedals, howling tape-delays and noise synths. The harder edged tunes send us back to krautrockish sounds a la Cologne's Can, while the more melancholic ones connect us to british psychedelic anthems of Pink Floyd's Sid Barret aera. But suddenly an acid solo or a modernly twisted sample will take us back to present times. Thus, Raw Code is a new, raw and rule-breaking musical experiment, which freely tries to de-chiffre the riddles of our mind.
