Personal YEEZUS

This song means quite a bit too me. I was flipping through channels one day when I saw Kate Micucci (of Garfunkel & Oates) on an episode of The Big Bang Theory. Kate plays a character named Lucy who is coping with social anxiety. The character really resonated with me. I remember thinking "that's how I've felt my whole life". When she said those words, "I'm kind of broken", it hit me pretty hard. It also inspired me. I wrote a poem titled "I'm Broken". Not too long after, I heard the song "Screen" by Twenty One Pilots. A song in which the bridge repeats, "We're broken, We're broken, We're broken people". So I had the idea to combine these three things and make a song that is a partial cover of Twenty One Pilots' "Screen" with sound clips from that episode of The Big Bang Theory all surrounding the poem I had written on the subject. This is "Broken People".
