Paris-based DJ & producer AIROD aka Dario Brkic returns to Amelie Lens’ Lenske for his second 12” on the Belgian label, ‘Rave Cycle’. Previous solo EPs on Molekul, on his Elixyr and the acclaimed ‘Voltage’ EP on Lenske earlier this year have brought him to play at some of the most emblematic clubs of the international circuit and become part of the Exhale showcases. Following a new round of bombastic releases by the Lenske crew: Farrago, Milo Spykers and Lens herself, it’s now the turn for the Elixyr Records boss to bring the heat. 

As expected from AIROD, this new record sounds like it could have been released in 1994. He uses references from rave, acid and gabber together with his fresh approach, the result are 4 club-ready cuts to hit massive sound systems. Second release on Клуб is co-produced by our Copenhagen friend Rune Bagge and features his two original tracks, as well as a vocal version of 'One Night' with lyrics co-written by Saint Petersburg based artist Nakulla Man and Sergey Sidorov with the assistance of Alexei Borisov of Nochnoi Prospekt fame.

The vocal version is based on a viral video that was once accidentally shot on our Kurilka dancefloor, and draws inspiration from DAVE The Drummer's 'One Night in Hackney', hence telling the story 'of a young man that visited Клуб for the first time'. Rune, our trap-obsessed friend and a guest of the Kisloty series, kindly wrote the title instrumental in 1 hour time at our request specifically for the vocals.

Musically, the two instrumentals showcase two respective sides of Bagge's production: while 'One Night' is an up-tempo, synthwave inclined post-dark industrial techno affair, 'Thank You For Not Snitching' is a much more of an emotional and atmospheric tune reminiscent of IDM/Breakbeat's golden days.

It comes together with a video clip shot by our own Navsegda agency, the only one ever to be shot inside the historical Borovaya 116 building one week after the official closing of the venue, and follows a night-long journey through all the different rooms and experiences that constituted it, including a morning Russian pop sesh at the smoking room.

Dimi is the new solo project and label of (Dimitrios Ploumpidis) one half of techno duo, AnD.
The Dimi label will be an exploration in sound, pushing techno, rave and dance floor sounds with a raw and powerful attitude.

Dimi 001 kicks off with `Time Travel´ pulsating kick drums and vocal cuts interweave creating groove with the snappy snare and lashing hi hats. When the huge synth stab and melody drop to take us straight to a hedonistic past put looking clearly into the future.

`Bang Your Face´ enters the room with tight hard hitting kick and serrated rave siren building an infectious groove before being banged in the face with the old school euphoric synth line that drops in and out of the mix creating tension and dramatic shifts in the track.

`Groove Away´ a throbbing bass and kick drum drop with a sinister stab for this funky techno monster. Hard in dynamics but with a maximum amount of groove this track thumps and slams while the spaced out synth line and rave stabs help keep this funky banger grooving all the way to outer space as the alien melodies propel us for take off.

`All In´ syncopated delayed synth stabs build in this track with tight rhythmic percussion and distorted kick drum. The snare enters like a punch to the face but only solidifying the swing while the main synth line opens building tension ready to destroy everything in its path. This is Dimi showcasing his direct and unique take on techno music.”
