The Southern California-based artist has nearly a decade in the industry, working in various outlets but 2018 saw the formation of Selective Response - a project focused squarely on techno, industrial, EBM and electro. He has since released some major tracks which have received support from some of the biggest in the game. In addition, 2019 saw the formation of his label, Crisis of Man, which also aims to further this sound. Today we present this high octane, four alarm mix which is a relentless take on techno and beyond. In addition, we present a Q&A with the man himself where we discuss his project, the next label release and more.

Southern California’s @selectiveresponse1 is what happens when dedication to self-expression and hard work meet an insatiable passion for techno. Although new in name, this 27-year-old swiss army knife’s history tells a different tale.

As one who's always been a DIY-type, 2019 marks the beginning of a string of powerful releases and the birth of his label Crisis Of Man, with support from Perc, I Hate Models, Remco Beekwilder, Truncate and more. His sound is relentless: a combination of punishing unique rhythms which are instantly recognizable on any dancefloor, something that can only be achieved after years of work and refinement paired with a refusal to follow trends. 

With so much accomplished in such a short time, there is nothing of bright future ahead of him.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Human Experiments. Resident of Berlin party series Stimulation the Human Experiments project was born from the will to share a radical vision of techno and the meeting of two inspirations, cyber-cinematic music and hypnotic groove. Currently based in Berlin, he tends to refine his style by taking inspiration from the more minimalist aspects of techno. It is under his other alias 'Arc:type' that he intends to fully express this other musical vision, even if the borders between the two projects are thin.
Today we are thrilled to host this massive three-deck sonic adventure that takes you from lethal big room techno to fast-paced grooves and well beyond.

TLP087 is brought to you by @caiva Uniting the worlds of contemporary folk, nineties techno and golden-era power ambient, CAIVA’s strain of techno is different; a shining example of how far the genre can be stretched into something that captures the imaginations of the experimental and the hearts of the purists.
CAIVA has produced a diverse and eclectic range of music, using her voice, guitar, saxophone and piano. It’s this unique melting pot of influence that carves CAIVA’s distinct lane from within the techno circuit; a contemporary classical approach gathered from musicology studies that has moulded beautifully with ghostly folk and golden-era ambient-techno influence. Her debut „Fatigue“ on UK label Lobster Theremin is now followed by a release on Live From Earth in collaboration with Julian Muller. With much more in the pipeline CAIVA is set to have a huge (and totally uncliched) 2022.

Caio Pires is the name behind SZG. Based in Brasil, he developed a transcending dancing vibe with high bpms, that invites you to join your emotions with massive acid lines, dark melodies and groovy drums. Syzygy (SZG) means the union of the opposite, through dark techno and lighthearted trance, bringing an atmosphere full of energy that allows you to access your deepest feelings and desires.

Jean-Charles ONILLON, Breton native but now based in Paris, produces raw techno characterized by percussive kicks, heavy atmosphere and saturated vocals.
