What does a Scientist, an Englishman, a vegan, an Engineer and a flaming red afro have in common? Alone, nothing. Together they form..... The Glass Ceiling.  Formed in 2007, they have embarked on several regional and interstate tours supporting the likes of Grinspoon, Evermore, British India, Van She, Lost Valentinos and The Galvatrons They have also been featured at the Lawn Party Festival, playing to an 8,000 strong crowd - not to mention their national support slot for Australian icons You Am I, playing to sold out audiences around the country. They have received MTV support and Triple J airplay from their debut EP ‘Reparations’ recorded at the famous 301 Studios in Sydney.

I play guitar, and occasionally bass and drums, and have been gigging around Sydney in various bands since 1998 or so. Past bands include 'Starless', 'The Resistance', 'Cities Of The Red Night', 'Found At Sea' (aka 'Helter'), and 'Marosi di Buriana'. Currently play guitar in blues/rock band 'Tom Stone and The Soldiers of Fortune'. I also play drums in the punk/rock band 'Rawrus Tongue'.

GPC SOUNDS: events, mixtapes + stories curated by the crew from Grand Pacific, based along Australia's pacific southeast. 

The fresh sounds of the monthly mixtapes + the curator mixtape with interviews are unique as they are diverse. 

This archive features creators who are signed, unsigned, unknown, overlooked or about to cook. The labels + artists represent their own genre + show the wild versatility + talent bubbling up through the counterculture of Australia’s lower east side. Most are fresh tracks with the odd exclusive album teaser or a just dropped special version. Sometimes we are the only ones that know about it + sometimes we persuade artists to release tracks just for us. 

We focus on original artists, djs, venues, recording studios,  festivals + those artists supporting the pacific southeast scene along the south coast of New South Wales.

Send in your tracks + we will add them to the selection with links to song sale sites + gigs. Featured artist tracks become video heroes on our socials.
