Last month we premiered a brand new cut from UK producer Riton and the track that came via Ed Banger records showcased his wonky electro sound. His next release solidifies his position as an always evolving talent.

He's secured the vocal talents of Meleka and for 'Inside My Head' and he's also got a banging set of remixes locked in by the likes of Bag Raiders, Bot and Aeroplane. Today we focus on Belgian talent Aeroplane's remix and the €urocrats boss has gone to town with his rework.

We have the premiere of Vito De Luca's remix and you can expect mischievous basslines that are layered with Meleka's soothing vocals and some typical Aeroplane synths. Get on this.

For our next First Play we are premiering ‘Some What’ by Ave Astra, the boss of Istanbul based label Roit Recordings. Part of the four-track ‘Music Sounds Good’ EP, it is being released alongside another track from Astra on the A-side, and two songs on the B-side from Embezzlement Society.

‘Some What’ is a jacking piece of upfront tech house with instant dancefloor potential. On the track, Astra draws from a wide palette of sounds ranging from demented horns to heavily filtered snatches of vocals from UK garage MCs, displaying a playful streak that sets this recording apart.

Splendor & Squalour number 3 see’s Brame & Hamo return to their rising imprint. Since the boy’s Ep “Lamaj’s Secrets” on Dirt Crew we have seen them do a string of remixes for labels such as Kolor Ltd, Heist & their very successful remix for Harry Wolfman and Loz Goddard’s “Uncle Buck” on Dirt Crew. All these releases have kept a steady momentum going for the Sligo boys in the house Scene.

For this ep we have a full 3 tracker consisting of all original cuts. The EP kicks off with “Kebab Dreams” which takes us on a trip to the moon with greasy drums and saucy groove. Up next is the MPC workout “Cert City” paying homage to their hometown of Sligo. Closing the Ep we have “Retch Wretchedness” which takes a darker turn showing us the spookier side of Brame & Hamo while still keeping the jazzy touch. A peak time track for sure.

The trippy original song “Crystal Reflections” appears as a feature with vocals by Schtu and as an instrumental version. "Catalaya" is equally trippy and twisted. Steve Nash supplies the freestyle remix and gives the original version his own personal touch. The remix captivates with its bass line and melody, which Nash wonderfully takes from the original and accentuates.
