Traumer aka Romain Reynaud has been plugging away of late with a string of fresh material surfacing in 2014, much of which has seen the blossoming producer pick up support from the likes of Mr.G, Franck Roger, and Doc Martin to name but a few. Here we see Romain join the roster of Loco Dice’s Desolat imprint.

Across the double pack we see Traumer skilfully explore a range of styles, opening cut ‘Hoodlum’ eases us in nicely with a bass-driven, funk-infused groove fuelled by jazzy melodies and gritty drum sounds. ‘Insola’, which delves into darker territories, follows this with distorted rhythms, swirling vocal licks and a Detroit tinged stab sequence. ‘Shuttering’ employs a similar aesthetic tipping the focus towards weighty percussive elements while the processed chord hits subtly drive the movement of the composition. B2 ‘Static Run’ explores new territories as Traumer blends a hypnotic arpeggio with bubbling low-slung percussion and expansive atmospherics.

Entering the second 12’’ we have ‘Swish’ which sees Romain opt for a more refined and minimalistic drum groove and classic dub tactics to create a blossoming seven-minute cut. ‘Wasp’ tips the vibe back to peak hours with a bumpy head-nodding rhythm construction, while a low-pitched vocal and evolving, resonant synth lines add a further mind-bending appeal to the record. The package is then rounded off with closing pieces ‘Chord X’ and ‘Mobius’, the first of which, as the name would suggest is led by insistent chord sequences and rumbling low-end hits, while the latter well and truly polishes off the package in style with meandering synth lines and a tripped out, unfolding feel.

Tech-House enthusiast Prune Flat enters the Throne Room fray with his EP 'I Want Some More'. Better known as part owner of Chief Recordings, Prune Flat has came at the music industry hard since the alias introduction in 2009, winning numerous remix competitions and releasing original records on Daylight Robbery Recordings, Bodhi Collective, Certified Jackin and Spira Music to name a few. We are pleased to bring the progressing talent of Prune Flat alongside our artists here at Throne Room.
To support this 2-track release we feature remixes from experienced pair of Dene Anthony (Love Not Money, Domino Effect) and Andy Lee (Elrow, Lost Records), who both bring a heavier electronic feel to compliment the tech-groover 'I Want Some More', and the second original of 'Creme Brule' with its softer piano stems signing off the full release.

The latest installment to the Love & Other Drugs compilation series comes true with 4 shiny new slabs of chunky tech house – each honing undeniable club understanding.

The EP begins with a hotly tipped piano jam on the titular ‘Sentilo’ from DJ Cameo, Myles & Gavin Francis – delivering a straight up club chugger with a moody mix of stabs, off shots and vocal murmurs. ‘Lucky Day’ continues on a similar vibe - from the illusive, nameless producer under_score (even we don’t know the mastermind behind the alias!) - providing an enigmatic sound, weaving between trance inducing rhythms, jittering voices and a healthy dose of low-end energy.

Next up on the bill, rising stars Mandal & Forbes provide their second contribution to the label with their piano led weapon ‘Gravity’ – refining a sound that delves into deeper territory for the twosome, whilst providing a distinctly 2016 tech house flavour. Rounding off the package in fine style Dantiez & Greco (NYC) provide arguably the heaviest track on the EP, featuring Joe Le Groove with their offering ‘The Night’ - aptly titled and purpose built for late night floors with the focus here being drums and groove.

Only five years on the production circuit the young and rising talent known and recognized under the name of Mirco Caruso already has been making some waves with quite a bunch of releases, he returns to Hive Audio with his newest outing that is about to leave a mark on the late summer season.

The original version of „Sale El Sol“ defo fuses the proper bounce of stripped down TechHouse and the trippy, yet highly detailed production approach of Minimal Techno, serving haunting white noise filters, ghostly synth echoes and sweet percussion tweaks – all of this accompanied by unique, slightly shamanic vocals with a bit of a balearic twist. This one's taking you to new spiritual realms for sure.

Our Debut Transmission, we've got the 'Vincenzo D'Amico Remix' on this three track digital single which is surely focusing on the percussive aspects of the night. With a drum foundation reflecting the heat of South American club nights and a bassline funky as fuck this one's a massive turn on in its own right, even before the twisted and slightly filtered vocal bits come into play, check it out below!
