ZonaSun is a reggae project born in 2003 by the impulse of Tom Siddh, a partially blind singer, song writer, producer and keyboard player based in Locarno, Switzerland. Across the years, various musicians gravitating around Tom’s home studio (Wise Monkey studio), have been contributing to root, grow and bloom ZonaSun’s conscious, positive and dragging sound. The band grew up performing live (more than 250 gigs) in various venues and festivals in Switzerland but also in the nearest regions of Italy and France. Their live shows are always very powerful and mystic at the same time.

 In 2006, the band took part in the final round of the "European Reggae Contest" at the Rototom Sun Splash Festival in Osoppo, Italy and in 2008, the crowd and the professional jury of the contest “Palco ai Giovani” in Lugano, Switzerland rewarded ZonaSun with the first place award. The band also won the "Let Your Sound Shine" contest on the site www.reggae.ch, earning the privilege of playing on the same stage with big artists such as Shaggy, Alborosie, Ce'Cile and Tiken Jah Fakoly at the Reeds Festival 2009 in Pfäffikon, Switzerland.

In 2008, ZonaSun released his debut album “Subliminal Love” and in 2011 the second one called “Shiny Red”. Both are auto productions and have been well received by the fan base. Various Swiss radios are still programming some tracks from those albums. 

After the release of “Shiny Red” ZonaSun performed a lot. Then the live activity had a little drop to give Tom Siddh the needed time to recover his creative workflow after the increase of his visual disability. Finally in 2016 Tom Siddh met the producer and bass player Shamano, who already played the bass lines on “Shiny Red” album and they started a new musical partnership. Together they also renew Wise Monkey Studio.

Now everything is ready and some brand new productions are on the way to come, to touch the soul and move the body of the audience.

Blending trap beats, soulful vocals, and smooth guitars into a seamless package, J.Rob the Chief is a certified pop icon in the making. As much as assertive confidence and heart-felt sentiment, J.Rob’s music radiates easygoing vibes, which draws the listener in with good energy. There’s a single-minded professionalism to his work, but he never takes himself too seriously or loses touch with the sheer joy of performing.

Growing up in Arizona, music was just another chore for the young artist who would become J.Rob, and his music producer father instilled in him both a love of hip-hop and a tireless work ethic. “As a kid, I’d spend late nights in the studio with my dad,” he remembers. “After my homework, I couldn’t play PlayStation or play basketball, I had to write music.”  All the years of practice have paid off in dividends, because now his hard work looks effortless. He approaches writing hooks like a master craftsman, but it’s always natural, never forced.
