Music has been a special part of my life since i could remember, in a sense it saved my life. I grew up on Division and Damen which is a really trendy place now, its known as WICKER PARK, it was a really ruff part of chicago in the early 70's and gangs were a big part of the neighborhood so i chose to pre-occupy myself by listening to WJPC am and WBMX fm. My older brother would call me RADIO SHACK because i spent all my time listening to the radio. I bought my first belt drive turntables in 1980 and tried to mimic the master Djs like Mickey "mixin" oliver, Kenny ''jammin" jason, Julian "jumpin" Perez, Scott "smokin'' sills, and when house took over the one and only FARLEY "FUNKIN" KEITH.
In 1983 i bought my first 1200's and got  into graffiti and ever since music and graffiti have merged with me for over 30 years now.I did the club scene in 1998-2001 the atmosphere was not for me, being a father i saw things that would go toe to toe with my conscious so i just became a bedroom dj. 
 Music is such a powerful tool...it reminds us of things long past and inspires us to future events. My first love is old school garage disco and original chicago house music. Long live the Dj's who love the music that moves us!

I've been a DJ since 1983. I enjoy watching people dance to old school music. When people tell me I take them back to yesteryear... I've done my job as a DJ.

Born and Raised on the southwest side of Chicago Illinois. Roberto Espinosa a.k.a. Dj Rude Boy Rob began his musical journey at the young age of 12 years old, experimenting with his parent’s cassette players and vinyl record players to blend music together. Rude Boy Rob, like so many others in Chicago, listened and admired the mixing styles of the Hotmix 5 on radio station 102.7fm WBMX in Chicago. It was the mixing and scratching styles of Farley "Funkin" Keith later changed to, Farley Jackmaster Funk, that inspired Rob to experiment with scratching techniques and turntable trickery using 12” records. It was Man Parrish's 1982 release of  "Hip Hop Be Bop (Don't Stop)  that inspired Rob to one day produce his own style music, 

Rude Boy Rob is the proud winner of the Battle of the Guest spot Djs held @ La Aduana Sports Bar in 2010 judged by music industry icons, Tim "Spinnin" Schommer (96.3FM-B96 FM/100.3 Love FM Chicago, IL) and Radio personality "Candi" (103.5 Kiss FM Chicago, IL) Along with Southside's very own DJ Mike MxXN Huerta .
