Day 3- Damned Jerry-Rigged Gasket Goin' Again... (PCengine)

Finished my Sega Genesis/Megadrive arrangement of Tong City from the SNES game Run Saber! It was originally composed by Hikoshi Hashimoto  and was my first unwitting exposure to his music as a kid which I have come to truly enjoy over the years!
Most of the Patches used were made made while working on this from either modifying ones I had made for previous projects and from scratch. Couldn’t quite replicate the synth hits so sampled them from the original.

Run Saber - Tong City Megadrive Arrange

Sequel to the moderately popular Puzz Puzz Pocket, it gives you a world to explore (think the world map from Pokémon TGC) where you will meet many different puzzle enthusiasts who will either present you with puzzles to solve or take you on in a Puzz Puzz Duel! One you’ll encounter throughout the game is DA GRUNGLER, a strange fellow who deals in puzzles that are quite odd yet challenging and fortunately does not partake in duels..

Nonsense aside, this here is my first ever finished Gameboy tune. Definitely fumbled the ending/loop here but wanted to get this finished because will not have the time these next few days.

unlike this here spoof which, Much like a Bakshi film, the 1st and 2nd parts are interesting while the 3rd is a complete mess. that’s what I get for trying to crunch it out before the deadline..

Now that the dust has settled after the fiends defeat by the Blazing Hero, Guido is set to rebuild. Now equipped with a state of the art Cybernetic arm (with the woirks thank you very much) He’s already established himself as the best around for pretty mich anything Cybernetics, be it minor repairs or top of the line components (again don’t ask how he gets em) for your robotic appendages!

Tried my hand at New Jack Swing. It’s fairly basic, tried adding a bunch cool and fun extra stuff but for some reason didn’t sit well. Will definitely be making more affer doing more thorough research(going on a NJS binge)

The Orchestra Hit sample was pulled from Mega Man Battle Network 6 on the GBA 
Used a couple samples (Acoustic Bass for bass layer and Guitar for the melody at :35) from the  YM2413/OPLL sample pack created by littlescale. 
The brass is from Plok on the SNES 
and a reverse snare in there from Grounseed on the PC98

Made in Deflemask Mobile using the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive module. Exported to .vgm to then render audio through the actual YM2612 soundchip thanks to the Mega Blaster 2 for that authentic fuzz and crunch!
