GhostlyCast #56: Octo Octa - Get In My Room

Terrestrial Access Network began releasing music as recently as 2019 with tracks picked up for compilations on Swiss label Dionysian Mysteries, LDI Records, and Control Data Institute. With a sound that is expert at creating powerfully immersive heads down moments for the dancefloor TAN has driven this sound with an ever present and intoxicating mechanical funk.

Which artists has influenced you the most?
-I would say the artists have influenced me the most would be Plant 43, Cignol, Widespread Panic, and Tool!

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?
- My friend and I are starting a new label called "Optical Illusions" that will be both vinyl and digital. I have a release I am excited about coming out on Noise to Meet You's 10th vinyl release soon.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?
- I would say the most "modern" or "relevant" artist to me right now would me Jonny Southard. He writes piano pieces, not electronic. His style resonates with me because it is very melancholic.

What inspires you now to create music?
- Music has always been a way for me to vent. I can put a feeling into a box and let it sit there.

What set-up do you use when creating music?
- A lot of people may not know this, but I actually only do one recording, or one "take", for my songs. I use an Elektron Analog Four, Elektron Analog Rytm, Novation Peak, Arturia Keystep, and Tascam 12.

A real music freak, based in Nijmegen (NL), who has mixed her fave electro, idm and techno tracks since 2005. She has played in many clubs and festivals of Hungary (Kontra, wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál, S.U.N festival, Ozora ect...) and other countries, like Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, and France and of course the Netherlands (Drift Festival, Het Nest Festival, ADE etc)
She is also a resident DJ at Nijmegen’s very own Open Source Radio.

Venezuela-born, Berlin-residing Uchi has a knack for sculpting moody spaces from subtle, breathing rhythms: it should come as no surprise that her debut EP was released on Recondite's Plangent label last winter. The same sensibilities that steer her tracks are also apparent on her GhostlyCast, driving from shadowy drum and bass to pulsing interstellar techno, but her path never strays far from a warmth that is unmistakably generated by human emotion and memory.

Devil Girl : "The mix was recorded Christmas Eve while enjoying good company and good food."

Devil Girl spent the 1990’s playing techno in empty warehouses, derelict roller rinks and abandoned strip malls all over the US and Canada. After a long break an appearance at the Headspace Dome during Drop Bass Network's infamous Even Furthur 2016 brought Devil Girl back into the Techno/Electro music fold. Her style is wide-ranging, from hard, dark, off-kilter and industrial techno mixed with Chicago and Detroit classics to full-on techno bass and electro sets. Her show, Devil Cake Techno, can be heard every 4 weeks on Fnoob techno radio while her new show, Android Assassins is available on 199Global.

Operating from The Dutch West Coast, home of the Hague, where Cliff Dalton resides. Although not new to the world of producing with several years of recording and playing in studios, his attention to detail has helped him develop a retro mapping onto his perception of the future.



Since mid-2020 Cliff Dalton has been influenced by 80’s soundtracks. setting about to create a blend of dark robotic mechanical and deep electro. As an artist, his use of conceptual themes is constructed of elements that create dense atmospheric soundscapes. 

Probing as an interface between harsh reality and pure fiction. He reveals a surrealistic emphasis on sonic particles into the realms of electro.

Ray Sedney aka Ray La Soul.
