Joe Arroyo (1955–2011) was an unrepeatable creator. From Colombia’s Caribbean coast, he forged a sound that crossed borders and generations. His voice did more than perform melodies: it told the stories of a people, of a rhythm born from mixture and mestizaje. With Joeson, he left a legacy that remains alive, because he understood that music is both memory and freedom.

“La Tortuga” carries that essence. It is a song that may seem light, yet in its cadence it reminds us that life does not need to rush to have meaning. Each beat holds the joy, irony, and depth of an artist who turned the everyday into a universal journey. To listen is to recognize that within simplicity lives the eternal.
