We're a rock n roll band...we play what we like - scenes and arbiters of hip be damned, we show up to support all the bands at the beginning of the gig and stay till the end regardless of when we play, we hate strong, we love stronger, and we love to play live!

Combining a deep love of melody with a penchant for noise emanating from suburban garages everywhere, Sweet Nobody writes anthems for the soft-spoken, the unassuming, the overlooked, and the under appreciated. Formed in 2017 and continuing despite the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Sweet Nobody has managed to release two albums recorded and mixed by LA indie rock wizard Joel Jerome—Loud Songs for Quiet People (2017) and We’re Trying Our Best (2021)—both of which have garnered acclaim and singles featured on tv and radio. 

Their upcoming album, sees them expand on their garagey jangle pop sound to include the New Wave transfiguration of late 50s/early 60s teenage pop, post-punk tones, unabashed 80s radio power pop and it’s heartland rock intersection, the romance of shoegazey dream pop, college rock and those r&b influenced moments of 80s UK indie.

La Lucia is formed by Alex Nuno (Bass) Dave Calzada (Vox & Guitar) Tony Vizcarra (Drums, Percussion & Sound Engineer), formed in the heart of Los Angeles, CA with an Alternative Indie Rock concept; with influences spanning from the 60’s, 70’s Britannic and Anglo sounds.  Absorbed by a strong influence of Spanish Rock from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, pioneered by bands from the movement and Angelino scene.  Inspired by bands like, The Beatles, The Hollies, The Who, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, MUSE, Queens of The Stone Age and many more.  

La Lucia was born on April 27th after cycling through other musical projects in the LA Spanish rock scene during 2003-2009.  Projects like 5to Nivel, Iguana, Lady Vida amongst others.  A reunion amongst friends, enclosed in a garage playing and producing music with dynamic sounds and themes with a taste of rock, heart and passion, La Lucia is born…

La Lucia esta formada por Alex Nuño (Bajo) Dave Calzada (Voz y Guitarra) Tony Vizcarra (Drums, Percusión & Ingeniero de Sonido).  Una banda formada en Los Angeles, CA con un concepto “Rock Indie Alternativo,” con mezcla de influencias musicales 60’s 70’s dentro del rock clásico británico y anglo.  Así también absorbe una fuerte influenza de rock en espanol de los 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, y de banda pioneras del movimiento de la escena Angelina.  Inspirada en bandas como The Beatles, The Hollies, The Who, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, MUSE and Queens of The Stone Age.

La Lucia nace un 27 de Abril de 2017 después de rodar por varios proyectos musicales en la escena Angelina durante los años 2003-2009, projectos 5to Nivel, Iguana, Lady Vida entre otros.  Una reunion de amigos encerrados en un garage hacienda música resultan temas con sonidos dinámicos y diferentes funciones musicales dandole un sabor de rock, alma y sentimiento, asi nace LaLucia…
