This was my first recording played on the radio.

Here's the first episode of a mix series recorded in the SoundTruck! 

For this first mix, I have combined tracks that I like to call Dark Zouk. That is to say: slow, digital, minimal, flirting with RnB, sometimes Grim, but always with this distinctive Zouk feel. 

It creates a Soundscape that I also use as a moodboard for a ongoing project I am working on.

I’d say it’s nostalgic and wistful in both its music and lyrics but melodic and poignant. Harking back to 90s-early 2000’s indie/folk. There’s also a hint of the Britpop era with elements reminding me of OCS and Cast. A laid back journey borne from a world that’s gone by and a yearning for such innocence and hope.

As some of you know, I recently put my label, ОЧІ @ochi_ua , on hiatus — a decision that opened up a new, unknown path for me.
I started listening to music I hadn’t touched before…
This mix is not only a reflection of the past 5 months of intense listening and curating — it’s also a statement of what’s coming next.

With this release, I’m setting the tone for my future EBM/cold wave band - a sound built around post-punk, dark pop, synth wave, electroclash, synth pop, new beat.
