The second release on Unalike Music is a collaboration of three musicians, dedicated to the unexpected. MRZ, Michal Ho and Ander all play live, allowing randomness to spice up their performances. Each track originates from the recordings of a collaborative live performance by two of the artists. Mrzhojam walks us through an instrumental soundscape while keeping a pushing beat. Cookie Monsta drops a kick that needs some room while delivering a nice dark and driving groove. Outabout thrives on a dialogue between two baselines and funky vocal drops. Enjoy the unexpected!

Tokyo siren @Cuushe returns with Night Lines, her first release for Cascine and fourth for Japan's flau label. Night Lines is presented as a noir storybook, unfolding along four tracks to expose a haunting soundscape, complete with bad guys, funeral processions and skyscraper-sized floral arrangements. The lyrics were penned by Cuushe with underlying productions composed by aus. Many sounds were sourced from films, animations and field recordings, with designs of obscuring timelines and the perception of reality.

In 1997, London trio House of 909 released The Children We Were – an album of rolling, midtempo house gems that were as evocative as they were posh. The tracks were laced with male vocals and the subject matter dealt with youth, and leaving it. As with many worthy releases of their day, the record was embraced by a niche audience, but overlooked on a larger scale. Deep house, with its smooth edges and soft-focus approach, was less appreciated in a scene then dominated by warehouse parties and cavernous clubs.

Cascine will reissue The Children We Were on limited-edition vinyl. The material has been remastered, the artwork redesigned and the record repackaged. It's a special body of work and we’re pleased to release it through the lens of the label.
