Der Einzelne als gestresster Spielball der omnipräsenten Digitalisierung, die wie ein Damoklesschwert über unser aller Köpfe schwebt. Bedrohung versus Heilsversprechen. Quo Vadis optimierte Gesellschaft? Wir werden sehen. Die „ZUKUNFT“ ist noch nicht vorbei.

In the meantime, our “GEWISSEN” (Conscience) is being shaped, if not tricked, from the outside - trapped in the echo chambers of personalized opinion bubbles, unscrupulously fed by digital hegemonic powers, fed by supposedly voluntary metadata between perceived truth and manipulative false information. The individual as the stressed match ball of omnipresent digitization, which hovers over our heads like a sword of Damocles. Threat versus promise of salvation. Quo Vadis optimized society? We will see. The "FUTURE" is not over yet.

It is with overwhelming excitement that we present to you IRR001, the first instalment on the all new In-Reach Records. We’re kicking off our imprint exactly as we mean to go on, with the finest in hard hitting, intelligent drum & bass, and this time around our source is the mighty Acid Lab. With releases spanning dozens of labels over the past decade, the German producer has a back catalogue that preaches musicality and this 3-track release is no different. 

 Acid Lab finishes things off with a journey to the darker realms of ‘Relics’. Thumping tribal drums laced with an ominous air lead the way to a brief lull, which sets up a revamped popping snare coupled with the dangerously deep bass stabs that are sure to give this track the dance floor destroying reputation it deserves. 

The slight alteration in moods along with the crisp production across this release displays the elements of versatility and consistency that put Acid Lab in that top level of producers. It's the perfect way to kick off our exciting new label, the birth of which we are also celebrating with a monstrous event down at The Nest on Friday 13th July. "Selecting tunes for releases on Samurai Music is difficult as there is so many great tunes on offer. The absolute cream of what we get sent makes it to releases on vinyl, so resisting the temptation of digital only releases creates a backlog of high quality tunes. Outliers is a collection of music from the Samurai family of artists that were all in contention for vinyl release, but for one reason or another slipped through the cracks. Most of these are still in heavy rotation in many of our DJ sets, so rather than hogging them, we put together a collection for a Bandcamp only release. No DJ promos have been sent out, and most have never been played by more than a few select Samurai DJ’s and the producer themselves. Outliers shows the depth of talent these producers have with these sitting on their HD’s without a home. We don’t plan on moving into the digital only release field any time soon so maybe we can have this series as a semi regular substitute."
