This playlist will be populated with more 'collabs' each time they come about.  It is an overwhelming joy to see my words honoured by sonic renditions produced by these great and wonderful artists. 
In Hawk Caught a Rabbit the magnificent lyrics are by Jeff and I just added little quibs in between. In the Administrational Heart only the first two sections of lyrics are by me. For Équinoxe-moi and Around the Bend, Wivresse and I swapped poems and sonified each other's work. Concatenandus, Small Gifts, Trilobite Quandary and The Passing are open collaborations in which you can still participate. The title for 'the wolf in me ....' was made by Mark from the Re-evolution Café Orchestra,  replacing the poem's original title Aeglaeca. With Amanita Muscaria and Know Ware, I only held roles far in the background of gestation, but Jeff and Terry and everyone else were kind enough to give me a honourable mention. Thank you, brothers and sisters in sound. The complete adventure of the Land of Zed story is out now on Bandcamp: https://thesmokingtrout.bandcamp.com/album/land-of-zed The E-bow Dao is unique in that Jeff's music came first and inspired my words. Later, the same course of composition came about with sun state, earth people, flying. Windover Hill by mono-orbit (former mono-lux) layers the words of my poem of the same name with those of a ballad by Maria Cunningham. Hanno has undergone some additional cleaning and enhancing at Rollo C's (muterial's) place. With the Holy Dumpling, I've only added some percussion. Adam was so generous as to allow me to add to his amazing originals Harmony and My Orders Never Came; the lyrics are all his on these two ...  just like Jeff's on Anthology .... where I had the honour of adding some sound into the mix. Would you go has some collaborators intentionally not named. KooJaa is all Kirk's invention, just rhe words and some of the voice are mine. At the moment, Vermillion Syncretism is taking shaoe in the studio of the Furico Music Team.

Sympoetic Ultrasounds

DEPARTURE is a long poem of mine consisting of thirteen cantos.
The full text of each canto will be seen in the respective track description.
The beginning is made with Jeff's unruly version of Canto VI.
Terry's version of the same canto and also of canto II have then joined with Jeff's. Next, Jeff and Terry made an excruciatingly weird and wonderful version of canto VIII. Mark's rendition of canto I (in three wonderfully varied takes) has now also been made available. Canto IV is currently in development with one version by stonerjazz and I already out. Way to go ...

This suite of pieces is all due to the inspiration of https://soundcloud.com/sonic-textures. Aka "Jo Richter" is combination of the sensitivity of Rainer Maria Rilke, the eye for juxtaposition of Hannah Hoch , the aesthetic eclectic genius of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, the austere imagery of Wim Wenders and the sense of human theatric of Bertolt Brecht. The man's work is something you should experience. 
Get it Dig it! You won't forget it!

Stepping out of the opening
at the foot of the spire, facing
the gaping, gasping plaza, the sun
behind him blotted out by the lean,
white purveyor of contemplation, he
shuddered the way one trembles
after narrowly escaping the lure
of prolonged exultation.

Up there, he knows, his muse
still combs and grooms the knotted
wisdom of her braids, humming
a tune of beauty. Up there, he
knows, rests his legacy in verse, scrolls
upon scrolls of scribbled glyphs,
each one a masterpiece of his
heightened sensory exaltation.

This is no path that could have been
avoided, she crooned into the waxen
ear of his remaining memory, as art
has always longed to be subjected
and enslaved, to suffer the necessity
of being forged on vulgar vices. Oh
for the kiln that never foregoes fire, he
would have wailed in common fury.

Is there a place where one who has
abandoned home can rest his head,
he asked. This world is made of places,
a passer-by replied. How can he who has
rescinded wells still quench his thirst, he
asked. All life is born from water, a passer-by
remarked. Who in the world are you, he
quizzed a passer-by, who would not answer.

And all the homes he saw were made
of brick and mortar, colour and concrete.
And all the forests he walked were brimming
with the secret of the spooky action at a
distance. He dared not raise his eyes too far.
He did, although, not hesitate to tame
his fears, revulsions, lusts, ambitions.
Yet all he touched turned into song sublime.

Narration: I wrote this poem nearly thirty years ago, embroiled in all the aftermath messiness of a split-up. It was first published in a collection of poetry  bearing a line of this poem in the title that was published under the pen-name 'sonogara' which I had used during that period - three copies sold ;-)

This is the second in the Departure series of experimental soundscapes that are inspired by a set of 13 poems (or 'cantos') written by Jo Richter a.k.a. Sonic Structures and Silent Stretches @sonic-structures. I was honored thatJo invited me to collaborate with him on this project, it has really helped to push me in some new creative directions.

This second track in the series, features field recordings from Zuunzug. He offers them up for download on this page: @zuunzug-field-recording under the Creative Commons license (CC BY 3.0) ... The ones I used are Save Beograd, Novi Sad, and Waves Over Seashells.  I think they add a lot of great atmospheric texture!

To allow for rest, you need to make sure
that you do not fall asleep right in
harm‘s way. You need to put your trust
in crude projections of the path and thrust
of entities and processes that do not cease
activity when your awareness takes its leave.
There are no guardian spirits to protect
you when consciousness bows out.

When – as a growing child who learns to use
his wits to regulate the forces that en-
compass him – he had to learn to abdicate
his mental skills, his reason and his
social prowess, just to give in to sleep,
he felt the force of dread that did
not hesitate to bring forth monsters from
the cracks that rooms and psyches offer.

Out foraging for all the goods that people,
parks and pastures proffer, he‘d often felt
assailed by sudden drowsiness that swept him
from the inside out into the open street
and very nearly drowned him in the gutter.
The force that urged him cannily to sidestep
reason, did not protect him from approaching cars,
as though it were an arbitrary arbiter of life.

It had been then, in dire need of shelter,
that he had stepped into the cool, comforting
splendour of the spire that reached into
what lays beyond. To master words, he
had been warned, will never do,
if you aspire to tame the threat of
letting go. I‘m here, he‘d said, to enter
a frame of mind, a larger self, a sphere of

actuality that never passes out, even in the
deepest state of slumber, trance or trauma,
even when the archetypes invade
my daily reasoning with brutal presence, as
they do. To master words, his muse replied
with her bemused DaVinci-grin, is quite
amusing, once you find the time to ponder
and to muse about the situation you are in.

Sonic Structures and Silent Stretches a.k.a. Jo Richter (@sonic-textures) wrote a series of 13 poems or cantos collectively titled Departure. He shared the texts with me, Stonerjazz, and Re-Evolution Cafe Orchestra and we have been working on the project of bringing them alive with music and soundscapes. How long he stayed, he could not tell.
He worked ferociously, sounding all
existence that had touched upon him into
being: the smell of meadows, the curl of
ripples, the calm that centers in a storm;
the timbre of voices, the straight lines of buildings,
the aloofness of announcers on the radio.
His desk was cluttered, his mind strove clear.

When he did not write, he‘d read up on
the origins of his ancient art: Vergil and Dante,
Marlow and Shakespeare, Homer and Joyce,
Ovidus, Cervantes, Rabelais and Wieland.
He felt the linguistic seeds, blown from foreign
stems, grow filaments deep in his native soil, he
saw them ripen, flower profusely, yielding
their beauty to ever-changing mentalities.

And as his insight widened and he gained
perspective, the rows of encyclopedias
and dictionaries that lined his shelves
slimmed down, as he gave up consulting
English for French and German, these for
Latin and Greek, those for Persian and Sanskrit,
until he only referred to Indo-European roots.
His desk turned clear, his mind became uncluttered.

Eventually, he also slept and dreamt
whenever the veil sank upon him.
Guarded by the spire‘s safe walls, he would
awaken slowly, remembering outlandish
lore, scribbling notes and poems of bizarre
truthfulness and penning recollections of his
archetypal ties. Some of his realistic verse de-
rived from fragments of prolonged poetic trance.

His muse meanwhile taught him to cook, the
art of mixing individual ingredients to bring about
a taste all of its own that nourishes both mind and
physicality. The painters tend to fixate on surface
and colour, she said, the musicians on timing
the process, whereas the poets never get anything
done, enchanted by words like ‚ginger‘ or ‚yeast‘.
All of their dishes taste awful.

Re-Evolution Cafe' Orchestra is an multimedia, sound and art project, featuring sonic canvasses and videos for your perusing: "eclectic musings" and "musical disambiguation", sometimes with lyrical commentary, sometimes not even a mere word.
