method: Sending back and forth, reworking and creating in collaboration with re-evolution café orchestra who composed all the music and played all the instruments. narration: I live in a region that is home to some space industry – more importantly however, this region is also home to marvellous nature. This poem is nourished by many concepts and theories, most notably the colonial ideology of space as the „new frontier“ as well as Whiteheads „fallacy of misplaced concreteness“ and Nagel‘s thoughts expressed in „What is it like to be a bat“. It is also fed by the human-tamed beauty of reed landscapes around lake Federsee which can be seen in the photo I took.

welch unvorstellbare macht
muss die masse im erdkern
beleben, das wasser, die erde,
die wurzeln sicher zu halten

zu wahren, die landschaftsfalten
wie eine große gebärde
ins weltall zu richten, das fern
sternlicht um sternlicht entfacht

des tags wuchert das grün
höher und höher empor
bis der wind braune samen
biosphärenweit streut

welch wuchskraft, die sich nicht scheut
sich bis zum astralen

You miss those days when you were young, carefree and single

Now you’re constantly busy trying to tie up all the loose ends.  
You have so many domestic chores to do on your weekends.

The world’s a crowded place, full of so many people.
But sometimes you feel like the only fish in the sea.

People without kids who have dogs, they think it’s the same thing
You can leave you dog home alone
 but you can’t do that with your offspring
You miss those days when you could tear up your plans and act spontaneously
Now you have to juggle so many things simultaneously

You used to strut around like a free-range rooster 
Now you’re laying eggs in a cramped cage
Your life’s an unwritten book 
But every day you’re stuck on the same page 

You pick up a half empty glass of milk and you try to tell yourself it’s half full
You catch a glimpse of your pear-shaped dad bod in the mirror and you tell yourself you’re still cool

They say there’s an epidemic of loneliness. 
You think about all those old friends that you really miss.
It used to be that you could just pick up your phone and call somebody out of the blue
But times have changed and now that’s not something that people do.
When you stood in line at a public place you could initiate a conversation
But now people have their faces buried in their phones for the entire duration

Story time. February seems to bring out my dark side.  Here we have a very bad man about to have his sentence fulfilled. In it, he will receive his final "song". The same "song" that his victims received.

La Voix De Minuit w/henry koek

One day I was traversing Soundcloud and came across the fabulous Italian poet, Ilaria Boffa. This is why I love Soundcloud. @ilaria_boffa. Her words and voice flowed out of my web browser and into my heart and soul. So  I reached out and begged her to collaborate with me. Lucky for me she agreed and then allowed me some creative license. So this is for you Ilaria, to you and your voice. May the world be as touched as I was by your words and creative spirit.

Ilaria took the piece published here on SC as "Music for Trains and Station Platforms" and captured it's mood and wrote some stellar, powerful words that created a whole new life and vision for the music. I applaud and am humbled by her multilingual approach to her art using a beautiful vividness of expression of human soul! Bravo Ilaria , bravo.

Earth axis increases
