A relentless force in the underground, Batman has been shaping dancefloors since first stepping behind the decks just at his 16. Rooted in the raw power of Acid Techno. 

His early sets at CROSSED in Szczecin propelled him onto some of Europe’s most iconic stages, from London’s legendary 414 in Brixton to Union in Vauxhall, as well as countless free parties across the UK’s rave underground. Over two decades, his sound has shifted from fierce 303 driven intensity to deep, hypnotic grooves that captivate and transport. 

Along the way, he has shared the booth with scene heavyweights including Sterling Moss, Aaron Liberator, Patrick DSP, Bad Boy Pete, Billy Nasty, Jeff Amadeus and more cementing his reputation as a true torchbearer of the underground spirit.

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. A vision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy.

Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor. However, his sense for music doesn’t stop at the edge of dancefloor-oriented Rave. It goes far beyond, right to and through the sometimes more and sometimes less subtle tides of electronic music.

This exemplarily reflects in his very own imprint, Schimmer Records, which he founded in 2019. The label has, in a rather short period of time, already evolved to a sonic reservoir of all different shades, all of which share a commonality – quality in production, love to detail, and an undeniable appeal to avid devotees of electronic music of all kinds. 

There is nothing confusing about Egotot’s take on music. It is clean-cut, it is straightforward, it is always effective. The Industrial clout, the fast groove, the merciless rigor – this is how Techno should sound in the 21st century, and Egotot is its perfect avatar.

Unknown Texture is a selector from Ljubljana, specifically Fužine, who doesn’t follow trends but trusts his own instinct for sound. Deeply committed to vinyl and the art of digging, he spends countless hours searching for hidden records. Defying the typical music style of his area, his selections are a blend of analog-modular hypnotics, deep rhythms, piercing frequencies and abstract textured resonances. Using vinyl as his sole medium, he creates rich atmospheres that draw listeners in. As the newest member of the re|lined collective, he opens our podcast series with a set that offers a glimpse into his vision of techno—honest, thoughtful, and uncompromising.

Пятый участник серии ГОСТ ИНСТРУМЕНТ — Иван Ерофеев из Омска. Уже около 5 лет Иван пишет и выпускает музыку как Aleph. Мы представляем его первый релиз под собственным именем. Два трека — «H Island» и «Sahiba» — исполнены в характерном для автора монотонном и обволакивающем звучании, возникающем за счет использования полиритмии. Ключевую роль в создании подобной гипнотической атмосферы треков играют звуки, которые Иван находит и записывает самостоятельно.

The fifth participant in the GOST INSTRUMENT series is Ivan Erofeev hailing from Siberia's Omsk. Ivan was producing and releasing music as Aleph for the last five years and this is the first ever record issued under his birth name. The author's distinctive, monotonus yet liquid sound emerges in these two tracks - deep "H Island" and polyrhythmic "Sahiba". Framed with field recordings made by the man himself, this two-tracker is a hypnotic and atmospheric journey into Ivan's very own creative universe.
