We are very happy to have label boss Michael Hooker back on Re:Sound Music for a two track EP titled ‘Matiere Noire’

The EP showcases two different directions in Michael’s musical stylings. We start things off with ‘The Pleasures We Do Not Know’. Balancing the mixture of melody, drive and creativity, while trying to remain unique and fresh in today's market can be a hard task. ‘The Pleasures We Do Not Know’ manages to tick all these boxes.

As we switch over to ‘Welcome Back To Funk Town’ you instantly notice the difference in direction and vibe. The hypnotic natural bassline and percussion drive the track along. The addition of adhoc vocal elements and a haunting rhodes melody add to the simplistic feel, yet detailed craftsmanship of ‘Welcome Back To Funky Town’.

It's fair to say that Michael’s music has reached far and wide over the past twelve months. He is fast rising the ranks of the decernicing producer / DJ. If you think 2021 was a journey, then get strapped in for 2022!
