For the first edition of re:flect invites, @adalovvve tells a mesmerising story of an intense 3,5 days stay in post-lockdown Paris. Her mix is stocked with booth soothing and stirring sounds, framed by field recordings collected in the city. These specific recordings are marked with a play button in her tracklist at the end of this post.

Ada, aka Clara, was born into a tightly knit family of musicians. She was musically socialised through the organ, piano, and choir within the church music world. When she moved to Krakow and Berlin, she gained insights into the liberating energies of club culture. Through her DJing, Ada also looks for opportunities to escape the demands of the often doctrinaire and exclusive music worlds (be it the club scene or the conservatory). This can be heard through her intimate and narrative mixes, where moods and experiences are translated into thoughtful sounds.

Artwork: Gloria Schock, master's student of architecture in Berlin, also being active in various creative fields in her free time, such as photography, drawing, painting and graphic design.

Firmly rooted in his home adopted home Cologne, low Ki operates as a DJ, radio host and master of tea ceremonies. His music collection comprises everything between obscure club tunes and cheesy bar sound, half and double time, sherical meditation and percussive energy. 

Ada Luvv is co-founder of the event series Not So Easy, part of the music label 76666 and recently joined the Cologne-based Crew Illusion. As a DJ, she curates a wide range of styles and tempos, leading to a highly diverse but consistent sound. Having a strong affection for both experimental and classic club sounds, striking a balance between those worlds marks her approach to DJing.

Ada Luvv is part of the @illusioncgn crew, which hosts a series of events at Gewölbe, Open Ground and Jaki in Cologne and a monthly show on @CallshopRadio Düsseldorf. She is also active in Stuttgart's nightlife as part of @notsoeasy_org, a young collective that has been organizing parties with a focus on musical diversity outside the club sound mainstream since 2022. The mix is all about warm, sun-soaked, nostalgic vibes. Expect hazy vocals and dub echoes weaving through post-punk, dub, and pop tracks. Enjoy listening.

@calulate-8 's style is defined by dark, atmospheric spaces that leave ample room for futuristic sound design. He combines driving rhythms with glitchy elements and layered percussion to tell engaging and dynamic stories.
His preferred medium is Ableton, as it allows him to work quickly and efficiently, bringing his ideas to life seamlessly. For him, it is the ideal tool to fully unleash his creativity.
He focuses exclusively on dark, hypnotic, and dystopian techno with tempos ranging from 138 to 146 BPM. His motivation stems from the incredible diversity of electronic music and the endless possibilities to create and explore its many facets.
He draws inspiration primarily from the night and from parties, where the energy and atmosphere fuel his creativity. Additionally, his work is influenced by genres such as alternative rock, trap, hard wave, hip-hop, and many others.
His greatest inspirations include artists like Marcal , Quelza, Hitam, Benza, Ketch, and Alarico, whose work has left a lasting impact on him and shaped his style.

The artworks - two analogue photos were taken by Berlin based artist Philipp Schediwy, who is being active in various artistic fields.
As PHILI, he also finds his creativity in organising parties, Djing as well as music production - not only released on re:flect recording's latest VA release.
As a photographer, he mainly focuses on analogue photography in several formats. His photos show urban contrast in colours, geometrical forms, structures as well as between the organic and the artificial.

In her sets, Chachacharly combines drifting, experimental and dark
rhythms with deep, atmospheric sounds that create a captivating
and immersive soundscape. Psychedelic elements lend her music
a mystical and playful depth, while dynamic breakbeats break up
the flowing rhythms and open up new dimensions. This unique
blend of intense darkness and playful lightness brings fresh energy
to each of her performances.

Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works. Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work.
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJset, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.

"disclaimer / disclosure: this mix was made while having a lonely evening in my room, feeling strangely yet deeply connected to the world. it reflects upon the different sonic realities, I still struggle with being stuck in between both: the centuries-old liturgical music I grew up with, and moving away from home other contemporary musical styles, that provided me shelter from the narrow structures of a strict classical music education. the attempt to bring both worlds to a synthesis was therefore a healing experience. it contains tracks by people i know and love, as well as snippets of my very own first experience in producing. it is joss-stick and wodka-flavored and spiced with warm thoughts of Julia, Emma-Lilo, Carmen, Vanny, Marita, Juliane and Tamara. I feel blessed to work and live together with those inspiring women."
