Take me higher is our next release on Pipe & Pochet by Pandhora. It is an ode to escaping a world that is falling apart. This track is a straightforward critique of modern society. There is hope elsewhere, beyond Earth, so why not explore? It is meant as a positive statement focused on space exploration. The second track Moonlight is about contemplating the moon and the stars above. It's about being more present and self-aware. One can reach self acceptance and explore its consciousness to go through life and modern times in a happy and positive way. Both tracks propose a way to deal with one's inadequacies to modern existence. On one hand, it's possible to search for another planet to live on. On the other hand, one could search for peace within and accept the flaws of society through contemplation and experience awe in nature, particularly when looking up to the skies on a clear night. The tracks in this EP have been remixed by Hrag Mikkel and Jerry Spoon.

Sol Selectas embarks on its seventh annual summer compilation which collects together tracks from around the world and releases them on the day of the summer solstice, which is the year's longest day of sunlight.
Summer Sol VII is a 26-track release that features music ranging from atmospheric deep house to percussive Afro house and downtempo electronic full of organic textures.
It includes tracks by label favourites such as Goldcap, Yamil, Guy Maayan and label owner Sabo, plus Sol Selectas debuts from artists like Safar (FR), Murmusica, and Amour Propre. In total the compilation features many new artists who are all being welcomed into the Sol Selectas family via their debut on this release.
The release features tracks from artists with roots in USA, Iran, Ukraine, Armenia, Turkey, France, Spain, Palestine, Colombia, Israel, Italy, Peru, Egypt, Mexico, Russia, Morocco, Eritrea, and Brazil. Together all these cultures and backgrounds combine to form the soundtrack of Summer and good vibrations.
Under the sun's rays we are all equal, regardless of skin colour, gender, political allegiances or sexuality, and this release is a celebration of how music brings people together. The music drifts from coast to coast, across several mountain ranges, deserts dunes and salty oceans.
Each of the tracks have their own story and is a little ray of sunshine to warm the mind, body and soul. All the previous releases in this annual series have been top sellers on Beatport, and this year is expected to be no different.
The cover art by Helia Jamali is taking us to a gorgeous Summer Sol dreamscape, illuminated by magic and crystal blue waters.

"Leliță Săftiță" is a Vlach song of the 19th century. It is part of the collection of songs Spitalul amorului sau Cântătorul dorului (1852) by Anton Pann, entitled "Cântec de mahala"
The song has a dialogical structure. It is about a married woman ( Fräulein Săftiță ) and her lover who secretly converse through the front door. The beloved cannot meet her lover because of the arrival of her husband and sends him away.

Since the song title chosen by Pann refers to "Mahala" (Romanian suburb), we can assume that it is an old song Lăutari .

Release number 185 on Ready Mix sees the first ever release from a talented young Swedish / Kurdish producer known only as Ganu. 

A truly impressive debut, 'AY10' is a profound and touching deep house excursion, lovingly dedicated to the memory of Ganu's much-loved aunt Ayten. Lush chords, rolling drums and haunting flutes make 'AY10' feel like a luxurious and magical ride. The track comes accompanied by three equally special remixes.

Ready Mix regular Savvas summons up a reflective mood with his unhurried version. Fragments of melody shimmer in the air above a single mournful chord, creating a deliciously ethereal soundscape. 

Next, Sarkis Mikael turns in a brooding, bass-driven rework, cleverly weaving hypnotic synth lines in and out of the original's stunning flute refrain. 

Rounding out the package, Syrian producer Goro takes 'AY10' all the way to the mystical East with spiritual chants over raw drums and sweeping synth arpeggios, all arranged in a refreshingly unique style.
