Release number 187 on Ready Mix comes from the brilliant and avant garde live electronic group, Holed Coin.

Brainchild of Spanish producer Jose Carlos Acal and vocalist Maria Garcia, Holed Coin fuse electronic sounds and sampling with live instruments to create a distinctive sound that sits somewhere between HVOB and The XX. For title track 'Clouds', Holed Coin showcase live double bass and guitar over sultry vocals and atmospheric digital textures to build a unique, mournful epic.

Fellow Spaniard MoM stays true to the original for his remix of 'Clouds', adding just enough weight on the bass and drums to move the track into dance-floor territory. 

Mexican producer MiRET uses powerful synth arpeggios and dubby bass to drive his subtle, slow burning version. 

Finally, Seville native Dixie Yure (aka Jazzler) ups the tempo and adds some bounce in his glitchy, off-kilter reworking.

Holed Coin's second original track 'Uiaju' also has a live feel, layering acoustic percussion with languid Eastern flourishes, emerging with a sound we can only describe as 'blunted in Bollywood'. 

Chilean producer Rodrigo Gallardo rounds out the package, slipping the somewhat trippy vocal atmospheres into a rolling, slow-mo deep house groover.

After very successful tracks on the last two Summer Sol compilations, Sol Selectas is excited to present Polish artist Raidho, and his first solo EP titled “Rain Drops”

Inspired by Australian artist Peter Gundry, Raidho created “Rain Drops” by using some of the nature sounds and Indian Voices of the Peter Gundry original, and then fusing these organic elements with a driving electronic groove. The song transports us to another World entirely while keeping your feet firmly planted on the dance floor.

“Mulinea” is an emotive track, which utilizes afro percussion, dreamy vocals, and uplifting melodies, a song Raidho says will “make us think about important things like love, peace and happiness.”

For Remix duties we welcome Argentina’s Kermesse for the first time on the label, and they deliver an excellent interpretation of “Rain Drops”. Upping the tempo a bit, adding some live instrumentaiton and some very psychedelic crescendos, they transport us even further into the galaxy with this remix.

For “Mulinea” we enlisted our dear old friend Timboletti of Germany, who takes “Mulinea” and crafts 2 stellar remixes. The Sunset remix goes extremely deep and dubbed out, a tribal journey with a beautiful breakdown using the Horns from the original. The Sunrise remix takes us on a techier trip with swirling arpeggios, gated vocals, and staccato percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali is a doorway to the World of “Rain Drops”, where infinity dragons are playing with drops of life.

Sol Selectas presents a new original EP from Dandara out of Switzerland. Known primarily for his downbeat tracks, this release explores the more uptempo side of Dandara, combining his love for African vocals, melodies, and tribal grooves. 

“Moja” leads the pack here with lush chords and synth stabs framing the tune, and African chants which call us straight to the dance floor. 

“Caracal” is pure groove with an infectious baseline, captivated melodies and live tribal djembe drums on top which Dandara played himself. The vocal shouts and acid arpeggios add suspense to the song and keep things moving. 

“Atumbe” creates an atmosphere of midnight dancing in a moonlit jungle. Percussive rolls and wooden mallets repeat to sustain the groove, while the electronic synth stabs and arpeggios keep us in modern times. 

On remix duties each song gets it’s own interpretation from more friends of the label. 
Elfenberg strip back “Atumbe” to its tribal elements, adding their own cow bells, and moments of tension.
Klik and Frik take "Caracal" and elevate it to a higher place with chords build ups, a funky “live” drum kit sound, and big basslines. 
 And last but not least we welcome Arutani for the 1st time on Sol Selectas, with a super cool remix of "Moja". He focuses on the groove elements and trippy synths, removing the vocals but transforming the track into a slow groover. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali captures the essence of the jungle, a window into the beauty of nature, which is both dangerous and seductive.
