Released last October on our ADE 2016 Sampler, Parpar by Anatolian Sessions gets its own EP release which includes a brand new Original track named Devrambel along with a bunch of cool new remixes for Parpar.  

The Original Mix of Parpar is a melodic house tune layered with Oud licks, vocal chants and an undeniable Oriental flavor. Anatolian Sessions also provides the Anatolian Dub Mix where he mutes the vocals and injects even more Middle Eastern instruments and nostalgia.

On remix duties, we're happy to welcome Troja and Helios Fort to our ever growing artist roster. 

Troja's story telling approach adds an additional hypnotic layer while keeping it deep, dubby and cinematic. 

Helios Fort takes it into club territory and builds a remix that's techier, groovier and dancefloor friendly. 

Last but certainly not least, Anatolian Sessions delivers his second Original track 'Devrambel' which is even more proof of his abilities to tell stories and create moments through his music.

Release number 187 on Ready Mix comes from the brilliant and avant garde live electronic group, Holed Coin.

Brainchild of Spanish producer Jose Carlos Acal and vocalist Maria Garcia, Holed Coin fuse electronic sounds and sampling with live instruments to create a distinctive sound that sits somewhere between HVOB and The XX. For title track 'Clouds', Holed Coin showcase live double bass and guitar over sultry vocals and atmospheric digital textures to build a unique, mournful epic.

Fellow Spaniard MoM stays true to the original for his remix of 'Clouds', adding just enough weight on the bass and drums to move the track into dance-floor territory. 

Mexican producer MiRET uses powerful synth arpeggios and dubby bass to drive his subtle, slow burning version. 

Finally, Seville native Dixie Yure (aka Jazzler) ups the tempo and adds some bounce in his glitchy, off-kilter reworking.

Holed Coin's second original track 'Uiaju' also has a live feel, layering acoustic percussion with languid Eastern flourishes, emerging with a sound we can only describe as 'blunted in Bollywood'. 

Chilean producer Rodrigo Gallardo rounds out the package, slipping the somewhat trippy vocal atmospheres into a rolling, slow-mo deep house groover.

Placed at #24 on Traxsource's 'Best Afro House Artists' top 100 in 2017, the prolific talent of Cee ElAssaad has brought him to the attention of dance music's elite, with Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, DJ Spinna and Osunlade all supporting his music in recent years. Stellar releases on King Street, Nite Grooves, Offering Recordings and Tribe Records have cemented his reputation and we are delighted to finally welcome him to our Ready Mix family.
 
Opening cut 'Sacred Chant' is just that; a soul-stirring, spiritual vocal blended with ethereal strings and flutes; dancing like a candle flame over a potent rhythmic house instrumental. 
 
For his sublime remix of 'Sacred Chant' which has already been supported and hammered by Black Coffee, French deep house icon and Rodamaal alumnus Rocco Rodamaal lays down a terse, hypnotic groove, building a version that displays polished tech and warm Afro influences in equal measure.
 
Second original track 'Inner Voyage' retains a distinctly North African flavor, with traditional flute melodies performing sonic acrobatics above a pulsing and percussive afro-house workout.

"When asked by my good friends at Iboga if i wanted to make a compilation aiming at the slower, more downbeat side of the music spectrum, of course I immediately said yes.

So much great downbeat music has emerged over the past years, and the scene has been growing rapidly, with many sub-genres seeing the light of day.

My thoughts about the selection of tracks was that they should be deep, moody, trippy, well produced ,and layered with tribalistic rhythm patterns. And a sexy bassline wouldn't hurt either!

So I started to get in contact with friends and some of my favourite producers in the genre, and slowly but surely, a story was starting to unfold...a sonic horizon, filled with music dear to my heart.
