Titled after a botanical classification that sits between 'kingdom' and 'class', release number 189 on Ready Mix is 'Phylum', a track composed by Montenegrin producer Lèrr.

Making a name for himself firstly as a DJ across Serbia and Montenegro, then globally with productions on Haute Musique, DeepClass, Magician On Duty, Lump Records and many other respected imprints, we are delighted to welcome Lèrr to the Ready Mix family. 

From its opening bars onward, 'Phylum' is full of folksy, Balkan influences, with traditional local instruments meeting deep electronic sounds in a unique fusion of East and West, old and new. 

Delivering a slo-mo yet potent rework, global nomad and 'Chillrave' exponent Estray builds upon 'Phylum's' Balkan feel, adding weight to the track and emerging with a heavy grooving, dubby beast. 

The second remix of 'Phylum' comes courtesy of live performer and ascendant house producer Gulivert, who takes the track into spiritual 'playa tech' territory with expansive, sweeping pads worthy of his beloved Burning Man's desert landscape.
