For release number 197 on Ready Mix Record, French producer Gulivert delivers two deeply meditative cuts, complete with remixes by The Soul Brothers and Sorä & Massam.  

Known for his uptempo house releases on Catwash Records and Roush, Gulivert unveils his more spiritual side here, embracing psychedelic, Eastern sounds. 

Opening track 'Atlantis' is heavily influenced by Indian 'ragas' improvisations, with droning sitars providing a bed for eastern arpeggios, mysterious melodies and a slow, hypnotic rhythm section.  

Hailing from Puebla, Mexico, production duo The Soul Brothers turn in a delightfully subtle, percussive deep house reworking of 'Atlantis', letting fragments of melody weave their way in and out of a tight, solid groove.  

The French pairing of Sorä & Massam take 'Atlantis' into more dramatic territory, with sweeping, ambitious atmospherics gradually leading the way toward tense arpeggios and heavier drums. 

Finally, Gulivert's second original track 'Yatra Discovery' has a loose, improvised feel, with mbira, strings and eastern flutes jamming together over afro-latin inspired percussion and piano chords.

Started my love of music back when I went clubbing in London and Ibiza, went to the USA and as much as I loved it in the USA the clubbing just wasn’t like it was back in the uk. The British are some of the best music lovers and DJs.
My love of all sorts of music keeps me going now that I live back in England down in sunny Brighton. 
If I didn’t have my music I honestly don’t know what sort of a life I would have lived.
