Eric Michael Jimenez, AKA Snooko, has been an artist/DJ from Miami, FL since the year 2015, gaining support from numerous talent including other artists like: Diplo, Cloonee, Acraze, SidePiece, Andruss, Jay De Lys, Westend, San Pacho, and many more. It didn’t take long for Snooko’s talent to become recognized. About one year after beginning his journey, Snooko played Life in Color Music festival in 2016 along side Jack Ü, Flosstradamus, and many other talented acts. Soon after that, Snooko was able to display his talents in numerous cities across the country, and was booked for shows in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, and even internationally in Montreal. Snooko specializes in producing and playing Tech House, but has received support on other various genres including Dubstep, having multiple songs on SoundCloud with over 100K plays. Snooko’s live sets consist of mostly Tech House, but can stretch out to any other genre, giving the fans an exciting and unexpected twist in his sets which has helped him the most in his rise to fame. Snooko is currently signed to Drop Low Records, Bump n Grind Records, Material Series, Baikonur Recordings, Terms & Conditions, and more.

RADIO WONDERLAND turns live commercial FM radio into recombinant funk. All the sounds originate from an old boombox, playing radio LIVE. Nothing is pre-recorded.  Anything picked up during the performance is fair game until the end. All the transformations are live audio processing, programmed by me, Joshua Fried. 

My controllers are a vintage Buick steering wheel, old shoes hit with sticks, and some gizmos. I turn live radio bits into danceable grooves, and even UN-wind the processing back to the original source.  Taking the audience with me every step of the way. 

I aim to expose the commercial stream as something to be fucked with, by everyone, not just gear heads or theorists.  So my transformations are simple and clear--mostly framing, repeating and transposing (although when everything is put together the whole is indeed complex).  My controllers are simple too: the wheel merely a knob to make things go up and down (frequency, tempo) or play radio loops like a turntable, the shoes merely pads I can whack softer or harder. The surreal quality of using ordinary objects underscores the absurd disconnect usually found between digital controller and sound, as well as the congenial nature of the transformations themselves. So, too, my riffs must be vernacular and not elite. (We need the funk.)
