Moscow rolls through with a collaboration from founder Archie Hamilton and musical genius Benson Herbert, from Kerri Chandler’s protege duo, Voyeur. Two original tracks, remixed by the legendary 100hz.

The record opens with the wonderfully trippy Systim. A driving bassline, barely recognisable vocal snippets and groovy organic percussive elements dance around a haunting piano riff that ebbs and flows throughout the track. Tension builds until a second acid bassline is finally revealed, causing dance floor madness

Next up Herbavibe combines a big bassline, dreamy chords, Hamilton’s trademark 303 and a catchy vocal hook to create a certified summer anthem.

100hz uses the entire b side to interpret System into a more classical workout, using the piano elements to their full potential and using minimal hi hats to keep the listener enthralled. An after party gem that completes the package perfectly.

Amsterdam house label PIV Records ADE Sampler finds the label showcasing their exciting sound with four fresh cuts from label artists Ben Rau, Prunk, Chris Stussy and Bas Roos.

Man of the moment Ben Rau goes first and again shows off his slick drum programming skills with No Walls. It’s a bristling and bubbling number with woody kicks and clean hits forcing you to dance. Woozy chords and 303 licks add to the overall deepness and carry you away into the night. 

Luxury is a more upbeat house number but one with spacious cosmic vibes and fluttering snares. It’s sci-fi and soothing as well as being nice and dynamic.

Listen to Her from Chris Stussy is another fresh effort with grooving drums and synths all gliding along in smoothly seductive fashion. It’s cerebral and atmospheric and cannot fail to get you moving. 

Lastly, Nuyorican Jam is more zoned out and horizontal, with jumbled percussion and crowd noises as well as spoken word
samples all creating a nice cosy house party vibe.

This is a tasteful sampler that really shows off the classy house sound PIV is known for.

London's own Rich NxT is back on familiar territory with his ‘Hard To Be’ EP landing on the esteemed Fuse London imprint, which features the uplifting and pumpy house cut 'Wah'.

Having played an integral role guiding the dancefloor at Fuse's club nights for nearly a decade as one of its original residents, Rich NxT has since stepped further into the spotlight as a reliable source for gripping house tracks that are in high demand. His new ‘Hard To Be’ EP follows on from last year's wickedly popular 'The Brigade' EP, which included one of the most talked about and requested IDs in 'Serious'. Now he picks up right where he left off with more house heat packed with his signature style.

The ‘Hard To Be’ EP is set for release February 8.

Ataxia are the Detroit based DJ/Production duo Ted Krisko & Eric Rickers. They have clocked up a series of releases on highly respected labels from Detroit including Kevin Saunderson’s KMS, Craig Craig’s Planet E and Seth Troxler’s Play It Say it.
 
Ataxia are also resident DJs at the current hot spots in the city, TV Lounge and Marble Bar leading to URB magazine describing the outfit as “another generation of electronic music innovators to come out of the Motor City.”  
 
Their debut EP for 20/20 Vision sees Ataxia deliver a raw slice of Detroit techno with a riff that conjures up the ghost of Joey Beltram’s - Energy Flash.

Luke Hess and Delano Smith work their magic reconstructing the track for the remixes. Luke Hess turns out a beautifully melodic slice of pure techno while Delano Smith produces a trademark slab of dubbed out deep house.
