It's pretty obvious I'm exicted about Kinky Malinki's 25th Anniversary.  Secretly for a few years, I've been hoping and believing that Paul would get back to what he does best, which is putting on brilliant club nights. I believe this party will be a marker for the return of Kinky Malinki.

Why am I so excited?  Well, for starters I started the night with Paul, so it's entrenched deep inside me and there's a special place in my heart for the night. 

I'm also very proud of what we achieved together.  We came from nowhere and landed an exclusive residency at Pacha London alongside Hed Kandi.  That's no mean feat.

But mostly becasue when we started the night we agreed together that it would be ALL ABOUT the music.  We had amazing guest DJ's and brilliant resident DJ's and we grew and grew, largely because we made people happy. 

I remember the smiles, the dancing on the stage at Pacha like nobody was wartching, everybodys hands aloft when the glitter cannons were launched. If you were there, you would know how incredible it actually was.  We had something very special at that time. 

If you've never been to a Kinky Malinki, then this mix is a good example of what to expect musically.  

You'll hear disco, house, vocal house, soulful house, afro house and  deep house.  It was always an eclectic mix of brilliant house music.  We played the BIG anthems, and we had our own not so obvious anthems too.  We played what our crowd wanted to hear.

I've been into house for 36 years now and the love for it, hasn't diminished one bit.  In fact, I now love the music more than ever and I play music more of the time than I spend on social media. 

I really hope to see a lot of the old faces at the 25th Anniversary.  

It will be one night where for 12 hours we all feel like we've stepped back in time and we're together again, the huge Kinky family, laughing, smiling and dancing together one more time. 

I hope you enjoy this mix.  It's been inspired by Paul Crane and Kinky Malinki and I hope that this is the start of something much bigger.
