Politische Parteien, welche ihre Propaganda auf Angst, Hass und Unwahrheiten aufbauen, machen sich dies zunutze. Sie bekommen viel Zuspruch und treiben die Spaltung der Gesellschaft weiter voran. COVID-19 wirkt auf diese Entwicklungen wie ein Brandbeschleuniger und verdeutlicht die Schwachstellen unseres Systems. Nun ist es wichtiger denn je, dass wir uns gemeinsam gegen diese Spaltung stellen und uns entschlossen für ein weltoffenes, solidarisches und ökologisch nachhaltiges Miteinander einsetzen. Dazu brauchen wir das Mitwirken eines jeden Individuums – sich einfach raushalten, schweigen und zusehen kann keine Option sein.

The lobbyism and “donations” of the economic sphere have a huge influence on political decisions, whereas the wellbeing of people and nature seems to fall far behind. Political parties that build their propaganda on fear, hate and lies, know how to take advantage of that. They get more and more approval, whilst driving forward the division of society. COVID-19 affects these developments like a fire accelerant. Now it is more important than ever that we stand together against this division and strongly commit ourselves to an open-minded, solidary and ecologically sustainable togetherness of the whole society. Therefore we need the commitment of every individual – just staying out of this, being silent and just watching cannot be an option.

¿Qué es It's Time to Psychedelic?
Es un podcast creado para llevarles un set semanalmente a todos los amantes del género Psytrance y sus derivados estilos como el Progressive Psytrance, Full On & Twilight entre otros. El proyecto se destaca por incluir en cada episodio a un artista diferente de la escena psy de argentina, residentes de diferentes productoras nacionales y de vez en cuando alguna participación internacional.
Cada día jueves de cada semana se sube y comparte el set del artista encargado. Son episodios de 1:30hs de duración donde tendrán un buen rato de música para disfrutar!

First track from an upcoming album inspired by Shpongle's take on a chilled and down tempo approach to Psytrance with multi-continental influences.

production notes:
This started out with a narrative I wrote for the track about a lone figure that awoke without memory in a cave that appeared to be sentient, and inhabited ravers entranced by strange relics. The usual psychedelic trope stuff. I recorded the vocals myself, and used them to inform the initial arrangement of the track. It became evident that the story would result in a evolving and winding musical expedition. However, my voice really didn't suit it. So I used elevenlabs to generate a new AI version of the vocals - that are used here. Later I stripped most of the vocals out, however the story they informed is now the song.

Each track I make offers new challenges.. here I really wanted to shift genres and sounds a lot. It sounds quite basic, but there's a lot going on here from a bassline that absolutely isn't traditional psytrance (although the base pattern is inspired by "Robotoised" by Quirk), to shifting from saw bass, to square wave, to switching the whole thing up in to a Brazil-inspired shponglised breakdown - considering I had no knowledge of this musical style, let alone how to produce it. However the real challenge was finishing this track. The arrangement has been 'complete' for months now with me tweaking and trying to polish it up enough to release it. 

I also decided to make this a multi-part song. Again, inspired by Shpongle albums where tracks eb and flow between each other. Part 2 of this isn't included here, but I hope I can make it become a full mixed album. Something for later.
