This is a live set I did for LA's legendary underground Heads, Fresh Produce, another crew I represent. Was great to be a part of an all star lineup, and bring people some great Breaks before a night of Trick or Treating. Big ups to Ricky Bonilla for inviting me to join and throw down. Starlight Thursdays Episode 157. Welcoming Shane Dee to the series. I’ve personally been really excited to get to know Shane over the phone recently. We still haven’t met in person and I gotta say I’m really looking forward to hearing him play live. He’s been into rave culture for over two decades and has DJed at a bunch of parties and festivals such as Meltdown (Dallas), Afterlife (Dallas), Fire! (Dallas), Epyklandia (Las Vegas), Regional Burning Man events (Nevada) Trance Arson (Las Vegas), and Ritual (Las Vegas) just to name a few. Shane currently resides in Billings MT and has been getting involved with the scene out there as well as other parts of the state. I gotta say he mixes Techno in ways that just feels so right.

Why did you get into it? 
Fell in love with it after learning how to spin vinyl while stationed overseas. I Was fortunate enough to meet a guy from Detroit that’s big brother was really big in the Detroit techno scene and ended up giving me a bunch of crates full of old techno records, and I bought a pair of Technic 1200’s and Been at it ever since lol. 

What inspires you about DJing and electronic music? 
New Music, Old music. Music!! People. The DJ culture is filled with some amazing people! I am very grateful to have met some really special people that have inspired me throughout the years.

Can you tell us a little bit about your mix? 
“Welcome to Rave mountain.” The mix starts out with everyone approaching the mountain and everyone gets excited as the music gets more intense as they get closer to rave mountain. Otherworldly. Heavy, Dark, Trance vibes.

Golden Goggles is a local Denver rising star in the progressive house, tech house music scene.
 
Golden Goggles’ unique talent of smoothly melting melodic progressive house into high energy tech house beats is loved by an ever-growing crowd of electronic music aficionados in the Denver area. Her live sets gather people who love to dance to her groovy deep sexy music vibe. 
 
She loves to bring high energy healing vibes to any space. By day, she is an MD and practices hormone replacement, urgent care, and aesthetics. She owns her own private practice and serves as medical director for several local clinics in the Denver area. She has played live sets at local Denver spots including Bar Standard, DV8, and Beacon. 
 
She grew music roots during childhood when she learned to play the piano, violin, and acoustic electric guitar. She still plays the guitar and often plays her hand pan to meditate and when searching for musical and life inspiration.

Golden Goggles came to her first Coven Collective meeting in March 2023. She has been inspired by the supportive community and nurturing environment of Coven Collective, where members can share experiences, advice, and mentor each other. It is with true camaraderie rather than competition that we all rise.
