The Pressure Dome crew are back in full force with something fresh out of the lab. A cold fusion of other-wordly rhythm and pulsation, a blueprint of Bristol's sonic underground and its uncharted voices of vibration.

From chuggy dancehall rhythm and energetic breaks, to intricate, atmospheric techno, electro and grime, these fifteen broken-beat builders take us on on a journey through crafted cadence and dynamic metronomy.

Wanting to give back to the city we live in and one that inspires so much creativity in those fortunate enough to access opportunity, all proceeds from PDCOMP001 will go to Caring in Bristol, a homeless charity providing services and shelter for those most in need.

The range of human knowledge today is so great that we're all specialists and the distance between specializations has become so great that anyone who seeks to wander freely between them almost has to forego closeness with the people around him.
Stuttgart based Electroménager’s very first transmission sees the day, with a solo EP entitled "800mg" from Manchester based Thodén, including a remix by Perko.
Taking inspiration from the uk’s unique bass and techno scene, Thodén delivers 4 carefully crafted tracks that explore sophisticated rhythms and dark heavy percussion, all pulled together by dreamy breakdowns to conduct those essential moments of euphoria on the dance floor. To finish it off; Numbers affiliate, Perko, produces his own take on ‘Specialist’, which results in nothing other than a dubby masterpiece driven by a charging kick. Following last years remix of ‘System’ with Tiz East, Simkin returns to All Centre with ‘Toxin’ the second dose of his infectious hybridized club sound.

On the title track he picks up where he left off, riffing on the tropes of techno and club styles with ease and continuing to set the pace for what’s to come. Sprawling high pitched FX fly overhead veering in all directions whilst a cavernous chord pins down the tracks chugging beat as it lurches forward.

B-side ‘Anarres’ begins with an assured combination of deep 4x4 kicks and industrious percussion that are later joined by an angelic haunting melody and a picked bass line. As the track glides along further drums begin to syncopate, locking the listener deeper into a phantom breakbeat groove.

Toxin is available across all platforms from the 6th of March.

"Leave No Trace"... a mantra borrowed from the more purist and hardcore camping ethicists. The general idea behind it being that you must minimize all environmental impact whenever you engage with the natural world as a means of responsibility. 
Around the time of this mix I was fascinated by Lee Lozano’s Dropout Piece and Seth Price’s How To Disappear In America — wondering what would it feel like to voluntarily drop out completely, to really leave no trace? Especially, what would our beloved planet look like? 
Musically, what I wanted to illustrate with this mix were two sides of an untouched and unpopulated planet. The eternal, chaotic hum of the natural world, the glow of an empty city left on overnight....Honk if you don't exist."

The Underwater Island is a collection of four tracks from Grenoble based producer Denis Morin. Philosopher, gardener, father and sonic explorer. Our friendship dates back over a decade, with some of this music first shared during a visit to Glasgow almost 5 years to the day - when 12th Isle the label was but an idea. For ISLE009, Vague Imaginaires gifts us with autobiographical field recordings, FM synthesis and skilled sound design inspired by the ocean and the Drac river which flows through the mountains of his city. Harmonising natural sound sources with digital realms, he navigates through minimalism, ambient techno and flashes of dub inspiration. Morin combines these musical ideas with Roland TR-8, 303 emulations, hydrophone recordings and vocal fragments from Tunisia, Morocco and Vercors Massif.
