This song is for all the people who struggle day to day while living check to check to survive.. this is for all the hustlers and everybody else who grind out and work hard to ultimately try and succeed. As my first single I feel this is a great 1st impression and representation of myself and what it was like growing up. It gives people insight on who I am and where I came from. I felt Busy Signal could really bring this record to life. I have always been a fan of Busy and I'm excited to have him on this record. He is a perfect fit.

As Worcester, MA up-and-comer Joyner Lucas prepares for the January 20, 2015 release of “Along Came Joyner”, the follow-up to his 2013 release, “LFO’s (Low Frequency Oscillators), he drops a track that screams as to why he will one day be considered one of the greatest to do it. He nails these verses, both forwards and backwards, in a way reminiscent of Chamillionaire’s Rap City freestyle (TBT), and he does it with ease. Much of Joyner’s recent work has shone a light on the societal ills of racism, most recently “Dear America (Don’t Shoot)” for which he made his own video comprised of nothing but police brutality footage. On “Back Words" Joyner is simply having fun. It's a prelude of sorts to Part 2 of "Words With Friends", one of his most popular videos to date.There may not be dance made up to this one but it will definitely leave you wondering how he does it.
