An icon to many who have watched him come up through Vancouver’s queer underground, Sam Steele is BIG GAY HOUSE.

Years of finessing six-hour marathon club sets have shaped a recognizable sound marked by soulful vocals drawn from the classics and an undeniable, relentless groove.

Heads have been turning following his 2022 stand-out debut at Basscoast Music Festival - which was punctuated by an electrifying return to the festival in 2023 - and as he continues to deliver opening sets for a list of international acts including Mark Knight, Honey Luv, OFFAIAH, Coco & Breezy, Ben Hemsley, and Soulclap.
