The Chikara Project is back once again with another hot release. This time from the legendary duo Levrige. As fans of both Levrige and Captivate we decided to pick the Captivate remix up for a premiere. Captivate brings in a halftime remix that's ready to rock dancefloors and give you a proper stank face.

The EP fuses the duo’s influences of footwork, dub and old-school drum & bass, all wrapped up with the undeniably tight, modern production that Levrige have been recognized for. From the choppy swagger of the title track, the pulsing sub drops and perfectly distorted 808’s of “Snapback”, and the off-kilter beat skips of “Think You Are”, the EP marks another solid gem from the Vancouver Island-based pair in the Chikara back catalogue. We even recruited the remixing skills of wonderboy @captivatebeats to flip the title track into an angry, halftime monster that has been doing the rounds in clubs from here to the States. Wolf'd's collaboration with Relativity Lounge on track 3 - 'Distracted' is a culmination of Wolf'd's thick sound pallet and RL's more alternative style of dark electronica. The tracks slower 130bpm template opens up a more experimental arrangement, bursting and retracting rich sonic expressions, fortifying itself with intricate breaks whilst being led by a pulsating melodic tone varying in expression.

Yet another absolutely massive release from our good friends over at Dread Or Dead Records. This one from a new artist on our radar from New Delhi, India, Darn! After first hearing the five track EP in full we were very impressed and today we're honored to premiere the title track "Dead Man". There are three originals and 2 remixes from Slimy Ape & Manta.
