I don't play songs more than once in this series, so every mix should be entirely unique and "fresh," so to speak. I also try to cover a range of styles/moods in each one, but this varies depending on the tunes I have to work with in a given week.

Lykwid is the musical/cultural project of John Bruce. With mystic ambitions and low end focus, Lykwid has crates of original works ranging from a variety of genres. With his use of minimalistic drum techniques combined with his intricate sound design each track takes on a dark, mysterious, and heavy vibe. The style of Lykwid has many influences from the dirty south wave that is crashing across the bass music scene. 

This black box set was a remarkable journey through low end theory and in key mixing. Lykwid made the most of his experience with us here by playing out over 6+ unreleased songs. Also enjoying a celebratory evening after his engagement of marriage with his fiancé Kayla McDowell the evening before. Stay locked for Fourth-coming music and events!
