Reasons To Dance returns with its first EP from label co-founder Dåser. Into Blu Sky sees the Dublin-based producer cultivate a rich and expansive four-tracker, with Sputnik One on remix duties. Nature is woven through the nooks and crannies of each track- an organic mess translated via electronic synthesis. Sputnik One’s remix provides a sharper interpretation, crafted with clinical precision.

As they travelled down the long winding river, they left everything that they knew behind. This was to be the journey of a lifetime, a voyage like no other, into the unknown, into the abyss.

Their small boat weaved and floated atop chaotic waves and tides, between jagged rocks and pointed shores.

Yet, they were nimble and agile, like a lizard in the stream.

They would simply go on and on, until they found peace in the great beyond.

Reasons To Dance are set to release a new EP from co founder Dåser who holds no punches on a fast paced, glitched out EP which channels elements of Bass and Techno and features a killer remix from Sputnik One. Listen to ‘Lizard In The Stream’ below:

fionn, the reasons to dance co-founder and bray-to-berlin selector, offers us a mix running through some of his favourite tracks to play out this summer. 

the set was recorded on a sunny berlin day in july and was heavily influenced by fionn's selections from the rtd002 launch party in dublin's pawnshop. another key influence on the mix was to explore the breadth of stellar electronic music coming out of Ireland this year. 

reasons to dance is a label we've loved since its inception so it is a buzz to get fionn to conclude our summer guest mix series.

Reasons To Dance is back with its third installment, this time taking the form of a five tracker from label favorite St. Amp, with Will Hofbauer on the remix! Lyra Pad (Deluxe) is a deep dive into
St. Amp’s sonic world, expanding on the lush soundscapes of the previously released Lyra Pad. Will Hofbauer provides a cracker remix, in his characteristically tongue-in-cheek style.

Starting us off, St. Amp re-molds Lyra Pad, raising the BPM and energy levels with euphoria inducing effect. Organ bass lines and dazzling synths merrily dance around the four to the floor rhythms. Drifting Off Centre provides us with a colourful, waft-ready dance floor cut. A half drunk meander through the pastures. The third track, Rotten Fruit, changes the pace with skittish halftime drums lying underneath bouncey synth lines. A stepper primed for those hazy moments! Will Hofbauer sees us off with a playful reggaeton twist on the title track. Hip shaking galore!

Every now and then there were ripples in the water, they were ever so slight and faint but they were there nonetheless. The sounds of the garden illuminated the quiet evening, a chorus of life amidst what would be another quite land.

The sun was setting in the distance, casting a hazy pink glow atop everything below. It would rise again tomorrow to bring forth a new day but for now its day was done.

He sat and watched all of this by the pond. The lyra and the lily pads blowing softly in the breeze.

This is a fine piece of bubbly house music which will work well on fast paced dancefloors. Like being in space surrounded by bubbles or lost in a ball pit, or something else a bit like that. All very good fun.

A selection of mixes from our Saturday programme in the 24hr Relaxation Station at Floorless Festival.

These mixes were specifically made for sore legs and tired minds, helping punters to take a moment away from it all throughout the weekend. Big thanks to the Floorless crew for the opportunity, it was truly one of the most fulfilling experiences we've had at an event.

The magic of the tent wouldn't have been nearly as good without the amazing light installation by Metic, who leveled things up in a serious way with his Ripples II installation - something we'll never forget.

Big thanks to Edie Medley for the beautiful artwork, and to all the DJs who contributed.
