Inner Child

At twenty one years old, Karly Summers has been creating music for over a decade. And though that's a long time, she's only just getting started. Her newest release, a self titled (and first full length) album, is clear evidence of her musical talents as well as a testament to her genuine love of the craft.

With writing, recording, performing and producing all of the twelve songs included, it's not a far stretch to say Summers has achieved something big. 

“Releasing this album is a dream coming true for me. A full length record has been a goal of mine for a very long time and now, after four years, a single, an EP and so much learning- about myself as an artist and a person- it’s finally here- and I couldn’t feel more satisfied and excited,” she says.

“The lyrics I wrote in this album cover a great span of my life thus far,” says Summers. “Ranging from my early teenage-hood to early adulthood. The subjects have changed, the topics vary, but the messages remain similar. My hope is that not only will these songs get stuck in your head, but they’ll make you feel and make you think; feel things like, it’s okay to go a different direction and you will love again. Think things like how valuable your time is and how valuable you are. For me, these songs are little reminders of things like these. I hope they can be for you too.”
