HKH from West Yorkshire believe in traditional production. We like using all the old gear and our music has a definite 70's pop feel to it, with a modern twist of course. 

Showcasing on this sound cloud site now are our first two tracks. We have plenty more to come from the studio and we are currently rehearsing for a string of gigs and festivals this summer. 

The band have their own world class recording facility featuring a real piano, collection of vintage valve amps and synth and drum machines. The song writing team consists of David Tennant and actor Lee Otway. Producer Grant Henderson brings drums percussion and a bit of studio magic to the table.

Lions of Dissent is an evolving vision. A singular planet orbiting in its own sphere.

Transmitting sound and vision for the best part of a decade, the creative collective appears and disappears, circling around its own orbital plane. Active when they chose to be, reactive when it counts. With a rolling past membership of 15, LoD return with the core unit of 4 that has guided and propelled the group from inception back in 2015. 

With a proven pedigree proudly built on back-to-back sell out gigs, international critical acclaim, BBC 6 Music plays and a wide and varied canon of self-created material. Lions of Dissent are group with a legacy, and future most could only dream of.

I have been hanging around Hollywood, California...playing in different bands, and finally got a lot of my original songs produced. My prayers were answered, when I got to record with very fine seasoned musicians. I play guitar and write, but when I was joined with Paul Warren-Lead guitar player with "Rod Stewart", Bob Birch-Bass player for "Sir Elton John", Gerry McGee-Guitar player for so many artists you have to google it, Jimmy Hunter-Drummer/Back-up Vocals & Keyboards, and Producer, John Duva-Lead guitar, and Rocky on Sax, the rock music that I wrote of paper, finally came to life, and I was super happy at the outcome of all the recorded tracks. Thank you very much for having a listen. I devoted my life to writing and playing my songs, and I hope you can find something that makes you sing, or just feel a positive emotion.
