I'm excited to share some after-hours vibes with you. 

This is the set I played at VERTIGO (Toronto) on Pride Weekend (June 24th 2023) from 2-3:30 AM. I had issues recording it live at the venue so I recorded this after in my studio. This set really captures my style these days and includes some of my absolute favourite tracks. Enjoy!

Esther Benoit After Hours

Esther Benoit made her energetic debut as dj e.steria at Salon Pearl’s NYE 2010 event in Montreal, let her flair for the dramatic mark the local scene, and she has been spinning regularly since. She mixes a combination of minimal, deep, and tech house: ranging from light, funky, and playful to shamelessly deep and dirty.  
Currently based in Toronto, Esther has played at countless local venues and has traveled to perform in other cities like NYC, Halifax, and more. She’s also known as the host DJ & producer of the long-running online radio show Rebel Mix which features local and international guest artists, broadcasted weekly on Techno.FM. 
Keep an eye out for her upcoming remix of Joyce Muniz's track "What's Your Name" ft Demetrius, coming out on Poker Flat Recordings in May 2023.

Chinese-Canadian born DJ and new-comer to the realm of production, Noble (real name Justin Shaw) is a Toronto native who is now based out of New York City.

Since 2007 Noble has been entwined in a deep love affair with Toronto's rich underground house community.

"When it comes to music, especially electronic music, Toronto is a truly special city. It continues to give birth to an endless flood of industry heavyweights across every genre. Not everybody knows what a role [Toronto] has played in the history of house music. Back in the 80's it was one of the pioneers of large warehouse parties, and then later it was the top destination in North America for rave culture . Today the scene has come into it's own, driven by it's talent, and it's a really exciting time."

It was there that Noble got his education, stripes and developed his tenacious & raw style of play. He's shared the bill with: Ron Trent (Future Vision Records), Osunlade (Yoruba), Quentin Harris (King Street, DFTD), Frank & Tony (Scissors & Thread), Nitin (No. 19) and many more.

The Hot Lipps remix is a lot tougher then the original. Stripped back and raw although still with a lot of depth. Esther Benoit’s vocal has been chewed up and stuck back together with sweat and dance floor grime… instead of stroking us along, she gives us a bit of a shove….get on the floor and get moving bitches

Joumana (@joumanaofficial) discovered the electronic music world in 2016 through friends and fell in love with it. Music has always been a part of her life, having learned to play the piano and to sing as a child. Her love for music and dancing led her to want to control the decks and to eventually produce her own music.

This mix embodies this deep ambiance she strives to set. It is an airy, progressive, and rhythmic set which has uplifted us this morning. Seamlessly moving through dreamy melodies and tribal harmonies - we felt the intensity throughout.

Joumana is one of Montreal’s fastest rising artists in the electronic scene right now. Originally from Lebanon, her musical journey started as a child playing the piano. Her passion for electronic music emerged when she discovered its magnetism in 2016, ever since then her commitment and talent has carried her on to play at some of the best venues and events in Montreal. Some of these include Le Salon Daomé, Stereo, Newspeak, Velvet Speakeasy. This summer she has played at the renowned Piknic Électronik, PY1, AIM Festival and Illusion Festival.
Joumana’s energy behind the decks is luminous and contagious, her ability to adapt to the crowd’s energy is what makes her sets captivating allowing listeners to immerse themselves in cultures and sounds from around the globe. When asked where her dream venue would be, she affirmed that as long as the crowd is there for the music and is open receiving the energy she puts forth, it would not matter where she plays. This commitment to her sound allows her to stay humble and true to herself and tribute some artists she loves which include Mercan Dede, Hrag Mikkel, and HAFT.
