New Zealand's HAVEN returns with another stellar release, kicking off the year with with a new catalogue number and compilation series 'Vague Weight Vol. 1’. Featuring tracks from Ebb, Witch Trials, Cressida and Peder Mannerfelt, the V/A launches the black label series that will be focused on the intersection of grime, dubstep, break-beat and other UK bass flavours with the hard and gritty techno sounds the label has become renowned for. Today we present Witch Trials' bassy heavy hitter "Dilemma", which features ghostly melodic hooks, creeping atmospheres and stepping rhythms.

Since 2013 I have released digital music as HLLW, and today is my 20th release under the HLLW alias. From the very beginning, my goal has been to explore different sonic territories, constantly pushing boundaries and moving towards the future. Thank you to all the sweethearts who've been supporting my project since day one, you know who you are, and I could not have done it without you.  

Bandcamp made it possible for me to release music and have direct contact with listeners, without depending on labels or people speculating in what ´fits´ the market. My initial idea was to make a platform that was not directly connected to a persona or brand, hence the four letter name HLLW. HLLW is community-oriented; it's the willingness to grow and expand music. It has no ego. It's inherently a resistance project against a capitalistic music business which influences today's club culture. I have no plans of where this project is going but hopefully there will be more releases in the future. Thanks for all the love and support.
