We welcome Cork based duo Southern Division to the Local Selection hotseat today, as they provide us with an hour of power, featuring a whole heap of the good stuff.

We caught a set from the Southern Division's live stream a number of months back, as they provided a guest mix for the mighty Dali club night in Cork. The mix was full of vintage techno from the golden era, mixed nice and fast with plenty of energy. We absolutely loved it, so we had to track the lads down and request a mix for our series.

If you're unfamiliar with Southern Division, here's a brief background.  The techno duo are from the depths of West Cork and having played together at a number of gatherings and realising their shared love for similar styles and sounds, the pair decided to join forces and it wasn't long before they started to make a name for themselves as Southern Division.  Having appeared on multiple guest mix series and most recently playing a 2 hour set for Dali's live stream during the summer, we expect to see plenty more of the pair once clubs can safely reopen. 

Their style consists of raw underground and heavy grooves, taking inspiration from techno legends, such as The Advent, Chris Liebing, Player, Kaiser and User to name a few.

Next up on our selecta series we have Jayne Veronica 💎

The Irish female selector has a flair for furious fist-pumping techno. Her sets are super-charged with acid and trance, some heavy solid techno beats which shaped her sound. She is heavily influenced by Charlotte de Witte, Richie Hawton and Vladimir Dubyshkin to name a few 🌎 

Her tune selection won't go anything lower than 135bpm, leaving dancefloors in ruins with her fierce selects. This young artist is looking to leave a dent on the techno club culture through her slick mixing 🔨

She also hopes to release her first EP within the next year, whilst working with one of the best producers in Ireland, Mark Greene. Expect raucous raw and untamed techno from this rising DJ in the year 2021 as big things are set to take place 🔮

Hoping to start this year off with an event with Upper Echelon Events X Contrast events on Liverpool ground in June, expect nothing but hard hitting, acid techno from her 💣

We are delighted to bring you SHAUNADEE for episode 28 who is striving for big things in 2021. For all you acid lovers strap in as Shauna delivers a killer mix for us.
Shaunadee is an up and coming DJ from North Dublin. She has a great passion for electronic music that you can see throughout her mixes.
Her range of mixes shows her deep love for acid techno and building tempo as the mix progresses.
Her choice of music is heavily influenced by the likes of DJ’s such as Charlotte De Witte, Alignment & A*S*Y*S*. 
ShaunaDee is also a DJ on Phever.ie every Thursday biweekly. 
In the new year she has began a project as a co-founder of Stärk Collective @stark.collective , a collective to showcase talented, female, techno Djs.
ShaunaDee aspires to develop her skills and knowledge as a Dj as this year progresses & can't wait to get behind the decks once clubs open back up.
