A hyperactive merchant of heavyweight floor weaponry that for all that doesn’t lack complexity, Berlin-based Italian producer Gianluca Caiati alias Kaiser has established his name as one of the today's techno scene’s most potent assets through a relentless flow of grade-A releases for the likes of K S R, Planet Rhythm, MORD and more. Clocking in as the master of ceremony for our next round of 909-fuelled audio assault, Caiati gives us a much satisfying glimpse into his fine engineering of industrial-leaning rhythms and hypnotic whorls of dubbed-out machine bombast. Based near Bari in the south of Italy, Gianluca Caiati aka Kaiser started making his first steps in 2007 by practicing on old turntables, mixing house, classic, disco, funky and electronic music.
Introduced to the international scene since the very young age of 18, Kaiser started to make his own music and during the years he has released his productions for such labels like Planet Rhythm, Invite's Choice, Voxnox, End Of Dayz and more with great results and feedbacks by international artists who regularly play his music. In 2019 he started his own imprint "K S R" and, of course, is always working and looking forward improving himself to reach new goals.

I would have been an Italian Cuisine Chef as cooking is my second passion.

After reading our anniversary post some of you might already have had an idea of what was about to come. As part of our online celebration we invited two of the artists that would have played at Embodiment earlier this year and the first one who provided us with a special treat is Kaiser.

Kaiser has been defining his sound over the last couple of years which resulted in him being appreciated by fellow artists and his listeners. As a producer, he is putting out a lot of music under his own label KSR, but he also appears on other labels like Soma Records, Knowledge Imprint, and Publik Rhythm to name a few.

About his set for Embodiment he had the following to say:

‘In this set, I aimed to capture the feeling that I normally like to share with the people on the dancefloor. My goal is to manipulate the brain with music and leave something in the mind and heart that they will never forget. My style in combination with the way I mix serves the specific purpose of reaching this goal.’

Kaiser is the alias of Gianluca Caiati, Italian artist, based in Berlin, Germany. Founder and owner of KSR imprint since 2018.
In his relatively short career, he already managed to build up an impressive discography with releases on labels such as Soma, Animal Farm and Voxnox. He recently announced his new EP "Towards the Mess EP" on Bas Mooy´ MORD imprint, which will be available in March.
