Massimiliano, aka @Viels was born in a little city outside Milan, Italy. Early in his adolescence, he discovered techno culture inspired by a book called “TECHNO“ by Christian Zingales. Having released his first EP on Initial Berlin in 2015, Viels continued his musical path, appearing with a track on the well-respected Dutch imprint Dynamic Reflection, followed by his debut ep “Distrophism”, and contributing to the 10th anniversary of the label, among some of the most recognised artists in the scene: Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search and many more. 
Co-owner with Francesco della Sala of “End Of Perception”, Viels just released on labels such Warm Up, Non Series, Semantica Records, Mord, Edit Select and Dynamic Reflection.
Currently, resident at the well-known Acquario party in Milan and with increasing interest and having performed in quality line-ups around the globe, with the likes of Reeko, Oscar Mulero and Dasha Rush to name a few, Viels is establishing himself as part of a new wave of DJs and producers approaching the contemporary techno scene.

DifferentSound invites DJ SHUFFLEMASTER (Tokyo)

The DifferentSound Podcast #313 welcomes DJ SHUFFLEMASTER! Tatsuya Kanamori quickly became one of the few Japanese techno producers to rise to worldwide prominence within the late 90&#39;s techno scene with his productions and remixes as DJ Shufflemaster. Originally a committed member of the Tokyo-based label Subvoice, where he released several of his early EPs, Kanamori&#39;s reputation outside of Japan was greatly aided by his affiliation with European techno heavyweights such as Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Ben Sims and Carl Lekebusch. It was no surprise that Berlin-based Tresor knocked on the door and offered Kanamori the opportunity to record her first full-length album. In 2001, he appeared via Tresor, a full-length LP packed with a string of dancefloor-oriented techno productions featuring Kanamori&#39;s trademark aesthetic, making him one of the first Japanese techno producers to achieve worldwide recognition.

Exponent of a versatile DJing style that runs the gamut from rugged techno wares to propulsive acid, via liquid electro, techno, house and everything in between, Hamatsuki treats us to a wild and effusive two hours of radical obliqueness, steering us constantly into murky waters, where life swarms and the metamorphic magic happens. Stacking crazy frantic wares one after the other in a Fantasia-like symphony of broken grooves, raging uptempo and hair-raising buildups, here comes one of Tbilisi’s key figures with a massive, uncompromising blast-off of a set. Mary Yuzovskaya's mix for Delayed captures her defining approach to techno: raw, hypnotic, and unhurried. As a vinyl-only DJ with roots in Berlin's techno underground and a significant stretch in New York's scene, she shapes her music with precision, offering an hour-long set that feels both intimate and intense. This mix is crafted for those who get lost in the beat, whether booming from Berghain's Funktion-One system or spinning in your headphones on a midnight walk.

During her years in NYC, Mary's sound took on new depth, honed through a three-year residency with the Unter collective and work at Brooklyn's Halcyon record shop, where she later launched her label, Monday Off. Dedicated to "psychedelic techno," Monday Off became a home for artists who push beyond the genre's usual limits. Through her label, Mary has amplified a vision of techno that doesn't rely on trends but thrives on nuance and a deliberate, mind-bending drive.

Back in Berlin, Mary's reach grows, with regular gigs at clubs like Berghain and Tresor or Munich's Rote Sonne, NYC's Basement, and releases on respected labels like Semantica, Attic, Kvalia, and her own Monday Off. This mix for Delayed shows how she keeps the music tightly focused yet open to exploration—an hour that reflects her journey, rooted in vinyl and built for techno's true devotees.
