Straight out of Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪 we welcome Tsukuyomi to the series for our 31st episode! He’s a DJ/Producer that aims to create a proper techno sound with groovy vibes in his music. A few months ago Tsukuyomi released his first music and prepared a fresh selection for his debut gig at the well know club KHIDI.

In the near future he is looking forward to release more music in his sound! Trying to become a well known artist in Tbilisi. Check out his channel for more of his work!

Antic Soul joins for DifferentSound Podcast #205.

Antic Soul has an affection for deep dark rhythms, groovy dub chords, and mesmerizing soundscapes, which they transmit through their releases on labels like Complexed Records, Frenzy, Schimmer Records, Vitus Curse and on their own imprint Entourage Concept. With their powerful sets at various famous clubs such as Kater Blau, Kit Kat, :// about blank or Mobilat, Antic Soul proved many times how to create a long-lasting vibe and distinctive club experience. 

Their own label project, Entourage Concept is a platform which enables them to release music in various formats and to connect with artists around the globe. It's a community with room for all — not caring about gender, origin, sexual preference, or any other label which aims to keep people inside a box. Instead, our identities often influence our sounds and journeys and teach us lessons in life and music. 

Besides events in venues like About Blank or Fiese Remise, Entourage stands for quality releases with focus on fast and dubby groove techno. Their last charity compilation, #thesceneagainstwar, featured up-and-coming artists like Baugruppe90, Nicolas Vogler, Ackermann, Elad Magdasi and many more.

DifferentSound invites Antic Soul / Podcast #205

Troisième édition du Queer Cult Takeover pour célébrer les fiertés LGBTQ+ ; Les deux précédentes éditions ont rassemblé des artistes queers de la galaxie Rinse, confirméEs ou émergenEts : Parfait, Broodoo Ramsès, Corbeille Dallas, Vanille, Cheetah, etc…

Cette année, le projet prend de l’ampleur dans l’espace et dans le temps : une programmation prévue à l’antenne pendant 24h le dimanche 25 juin, une playlist exclusive sur notre site, et une heure de discussion avec les artistes et figures qui nous ont inspirés cette année.

This week's podcast is recorded by HOESEPHINE, a prominent up and coming Dutch techno artist. Playfully blurring the lines between hardgroove and trance, she delivers a vibrant rave-ready set, with a tasteful amount of funk sprinkled throughout. 
HOESEPHINE’s talent has not gone unrecognised as she recently recorded a set for the infamous Kiosk Radio in Brussels, and will make her upcoming debut with INTERCELL in Amsterdam. On a personal note, HOESEPHINE played at many of the parties which this collective met through, so we are especially happy to have her record this set.

♨️ Originating from Istanbul, Y33T now calls Amsterdam home, where they have caught the attention of many as an up-and-coming DJ. With a background in classical music, they were introduced to electronic music through Istanbul’s underground queer rave scene during their formative years.

Y33T’s journey has since taken them to world-renowned clubs in the Netherlands, including Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Their music follows a rhythmic flow characterized by groovy deep elements and chawrged percussions that drive with purpose.

Guets es un joven dj y productor de madrid. Todo empezo cuando crackeo el ableton y se hizo con una hercules de segunda mano. Tras unos cuantos años de experimentación, todo cambió cuando a partir de solo pinchar temas viejos que encontraba en el canal de sanelbestxx y similares, le dio por hacerse con un plato. Desde entonces vive obsesionado con su colección de discos y con a compartirla con el mundo. No le gusta catalogarse y dice que su genero es “todo el techno que le guste”. No se puede negar el toque oldschool siempre. 

Para esta ocasión especial trae su versión mas musical, soft y fotosintetica, guardandose su lado mas tool y agresivo con el que le encanta poner patas arribas a la pista. Es hasta mas oldschool que normalmente, con un sonido mas noventero que dosmilero en el que mezcla muchas cosas distintas como tech house, house, techno tribal, detroit, algo de sonido de napoles y como no, techno a secas.  El llama a esta combinacion de estilos: SEXO.

Guets is a young dj and producer from madrid. It all started when he cracked the ableton and got a second hand hercules. After a few years of experimentation, everything changed when he started playing old tracks that he found on sanelbestxx channel and the like, he decided to get a turntable. Since then he has been obsessed with his record collection and sharing it with the world. He doesn't like to categorize himself and says that his genre is "all the techno he likes". There is no denying the oldschool touch. 

For this special occasion he brings his more musical, soft and photosynthic version, keeping his more tool and aggressive side with which he loves to turn the dancefloor upside down. It's even more oldschool than usual, with a more nineties sound than dosmilero in which he mixes many different things like tech house, house, tribal techno, detroit, some napoles sound and of course, straight techno.  He calls this combination of styles: SEX.
