DJ NAOGEE 　

　DJ NAOGEEは沖縄県を中心に活動する10年以上のキャリアを持つDJである。
十代後半から県内のクラブに通い始め、1999年頃からDJ活動を開始。
その後は県外、国外から来沖するDJのサポートをはじめ、自らも複数のイベントを立ち上げるなどコンスタントに音楽活動を行っている。
DJ活動を始めた当初はハードミニマルなテクノセットでのプレイが多かったが、
近年はテクノを基調にしつつも、そこに様々なジャンルのトラックをミックスする雑食性あふれるプレイスタイルに発展している。
ここにアップされているミックスでもテクノを中心に幅広いトラックを混ぜ合わせながら、長いキャリアに裏打ちされたテクニックと構成力でDJ　NAOGEEらしい一貫した世界観を構築している。

　彼のDJプレイは大都市の大箱で繰り広げられる華やかなパーティー感からは程遠く、
どちらかというとデトロイトのテクノやブリストルのヘビーなベースミュージックのようなダークなトランス感が特徴である。
日本国内に限らず、世界中のローカルシーンで活動するDJと同様、
彼も生活の為に働き、そこから身銭を切ってヴァイナルを購入し、現場でプレイするという行為を続けている。
ここには沖縄で生活しながら、地元の現場で長年プレイを続けてきた彼なり自負や思いが込められているのだろう。

　DJ活動以外にも最近はシンセやミキサーなどの機材を中心としたテクノユニットでライブを行ったり、
普天間基地近くの安い物件を借りてスタジオスに改装したりと、音楽に対しての情熱と探究心は一向に衰えない様子。
おそらくこれからもしぶとくDJを続けていくに違いない。
そんな沖縄のローカルシーンが生んだ腕利きDJのディープでインナートリップ感溢れる音像を是非、堪能してほしい。
ちょっと暗めですが、そこがいい按配です。

 DJ NAOGEE whose career is more than 10 years working mainly in Okinawa.
Prefecture start attending the club since the late teens and started DJ work from around 1999.
