Neglect is an artist based in Tucson, Arizona. It's hard to pin him down, as at times he makes sounds that are deep and dubby, as JMV, at others he makes reflective ambient as Neglect. For Bandcloud he's offered an hour of drifting wonder. 

The mix opens with 'I Only Have Eyes For You' by The Flamingos, sampled by Fugees for their track 'Zealots' in 1996, and brilliantly covered by Laryssa Kim in 2019 (as featured in Bandcloud 278). It moves through other Bandcloud favourites including Jake Muir, wzrdryAV and Roméo Poirier. While he could not have known it, I used the House in the Woods track he features in a mix back in 2014.  All in all it's safe to say it's right up my street and I hope it's up yours too.

This is a live recording from Swarm at the Jets in 2002 - Sydney techno and the free party spirit were alive and kicking back then. It was a "versus" party so each set was 2 DJs on 4 decks with a mixer each and it got crazy!

After all these years, out of the archives a live recording has been dug up that captures the early 2000s vibe of Emass vs Methodix perfectly. It's insane. A constant build of layer after layer, slab after slab. No fucks given, just chuck it in there and crank it! 🔥🔥🔥

The Wire (UK) surmises “behind the music lurk such [disparate] presences as Alvin Lucier, King Tubby, Murray Schafer and Eliane Radigue.”
