It’s no longer news to anyone that Australian electronic music propelled itself to international spotlight in recent years. There is an infinite array of up and coming talent emerging from down under. Amongst them are the dynamic duo of DJ Sarah and Georgia Bird, known as In2stellar, whose collaboration started in 2017. 

Their energetic sets influenced by 90s dance music, fusing gritty breaks, UK bass and proggy bass lines are a candid insight into their true selves that we are pleased to discover through this insightful conversation.

Camion Bazar welcomes the likes of Vitess, Ruff Stuff, LB aka LABAT and more to remix a selection of key tracks from their back catalogue on this new remix package for their own Jaki Records.

French duo Camion Bazar have been steadily unveiling their hedonistic, psychedelia infused twist on electronic music over the past years via their own Jaki Records imprint and here see them refelecting on this back catalogue of material by inviting many of their friends and favourite producers on board to rework some select cuts.

Parisian producer Vitess steps up first to remix ‘L.A.L.Y’, putting his signature rave tinged twist on the original with trippy, intricate synth work throughout. Voodoos and Taboos remix ‘Beow’ next, bringing a bouncy bass line and squelchy 303 licks into focus alongside airy chords and swinging drums before Bourdeaux-based Neida flips ‘Six Avril’ into a breakbeat driven rave frenzy.

Berlin-based Italian Ruff Stuff turns in his twist on ‘Baby 100 Coins’ next, delivering his typically raw and soulful feel with drifting keys, crisp percussion and swinging drums. The OCB Wristbreaker remix of ‘YLB’ follows next and embraces pacey stab sequences and choppy vocals before Poumpet boss LB aka LABAT delivers a slamming rework of ‘Bombackir’ with rattling, distorted drums, ravey piano lines and trippy vocals. The ‘Gallegos NooNoo Mix’ of ‘Nina’ then rounds out the package on a stripped-back tip, bringing a wandering 303 line and raw, bumpy drums into the spotlight.

Bari house don Rhythm Of Paradise has been upholding the Italo house tradition over a run of superlative releases for the likes of Cosmic Rhythm, Chiwax and Kalahari Oyster Cult, and now he returns to Smallville for more of that quintessential deep-diving gear. His sound is right at home on Hamburg's finest house label, with 'In My Face' revelling in subdued, blue-hued pad tones while 'Love Me Tonite' rides mellow chords on delightfully dusty beats. Nu Cleo is on hand with a sprightly remix of 'Deepside' before the record closes out with the celestial acid fantasy of 'Solaris'.

Secretsundaze are back with their first label release of 2023 with the follow up to Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange’s 2021 'Kreuzberg Kix EP 1'.  The team is very much present and correct in this second edition with artist WAYNE SNOW once again joining the party on the deep house trip 'Take Your Time'.  It comes complete with a stunning remix by Secretsundaze long time fave, NYC based producer and DJ, Jenifa Mayanja, on the jazzy, uptempo, instrumental 'Bleached'.  

Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange – headed up by drummer Ziggy Zeitgeist of 30/70 - are well known for their storming live sets, capturing the energy of dance music across house and more broken vibes whilst retaining their strong jazz funk influence and musicianship levels. This EP was written by Ziggy Zeitgeist, Spirit of Sundaze Ensemble’s Lewis Moody, Mathew Hayes and WAYNE SNOW.

Lead track 'Take Your Time' is a warm and atmospheric balm with a driving momentum for those transcendental dance floor moments, elevated to next levels by WAYNE SNOW’s distinctive vocal.
