Amsterdam-based producer Alex Sharp returns to the label for our 141st release to unveil his latest project, the Kaval Sviri EP – a mesmerising fusion of melodic techno and Bulgarian folklore.

This evocative collection consists of two originals, the title 'Kaval Sviri' and 'Avante Mori' alongside a striking remix of the by the emerging Austrian techno producer Mike Pipes.

'Kaval Sviri,' meaning 'The Flute Plays,' is inspired by a Bulgarian folk tale centered on a shepherd's flute and a story of love and longing. Alex preserves the haunting beauty of the traditional melody while reimagining it through the lens of modern techno, blending hypnotic beats with poignant cultural storytelling.

'Avante Mori' further extends the folkloric inspiration, weaving intricate soundscapes that bridge past and present.

Adding a dynamic plot-twist, Mike Pipes' remix of 'Kaval Sviri' transforms the track into a peak-time anthem, enhancing its energy while respecting its roots. The full 3-track EP is both a tribute to tradition and an invitation to experience dance music as a vessel for storytelling.

ANMA (soul in Occitan) is an artist in love with underground techno sounds. Guitarist and pianist since his early childhood, he currently produces on many labels around the world. His bewitching and progressive music is just as powerful. He is also one of the founders of the French/Canadian HOVER MIND label. From being awarded the position of Beatport's Top 3 label for 2020 (following revered Afterlife and Diynamic imprints), and 4th highest selling release of the year - along with a large portfolio of accomplishments and achievements since its inception - Recovery Collective has grown from a fledgling label to a global powerhouse.

Bringing together artists from all corners of the world, the label has championed artists from diverse backgrounds, enabling them to showcase their unique talents on a global stage. From Australia to Ukraine, Brazil, France, Lebanon and Thailand. We really have created a community of artists that today we are ever so proud of.

To celebrate a decade of operation, Recovery Collective will be embarking on a 10 Year Anniversary World Tour throughout 2024, seeking to revisit this incredible journey, bringing together our esteemed artists, dedicated fans, and the larger music community.

This tour will span multiple cities, each chosen for its unique connection to our label and its artists. Every showcase will be curated meticulously, reflecting the ethos of Recovery Collective while offering attendees an unforgettable musical experience.
